There once was an ape named Ollie
Who rode around in a trolley
Three hippos in a bath
They made a hyena laugh
As a duck swam holding a brolly...

Jolly Ollie, the tiddledy winks king
Jolly Ollie really mastered that thing
He's amazing to human dragon and elf
He even impressed the Pope
Who's a pretty good winker himself....

Ollie Octopus could sure do some harm
With each one of his poisonous arms ~
     He flashed his tentacles
     Nearly identicals ~
I hear females fall for his subtler charms...

The Ostrich and the Gnome Grumble

An ostrich, named Ollie, so grand,
Tried to join a tightrope command.
He tripped on his toes,
And landed on gnomes,
Who yelled, "That's a sand-burying brand!"

Ollie the Octopus
Ollie the Octopus with his 9 brains
Broke his 3 hearts in a quick poker game
The blue blood that ran straight to his heart
Suddenly stopped before it could start
It didn't take long before he withered and died
And Ollie the octopus waved us goodbye...

Short Ode To Stan and Ollie
There should be a special place In one’s heart and mem’ry For people who have brightened one’s life In addition to friends and family There’s a special place In my heart and mem’ry For two special and unique people Like “Stan and Ollie.”

Kukla, Fran and Ollie
So long ago, it so now seems
Each Saturday, I’d watch with joy
They introduced the movies well
While entertaining girls and boys
Although two puppets, I didn’t care
Rather marionettes, they were still real
With the one lady they did give laughs
With jokes and enigmatic zeal...

Drunk Driver Kills Young Lady's Dog
Melanie cried for hours the day
a drunk driver ran over her dog
a week after she had an abortion.
She loved that dog so much
she told her mother she knew
Ollie was now in heaven barking
as the angels blew their horns.
Her mother softly daubed her tears.
Nothing worse than losing a dog.

Ole Ollie 'twas told to
look and find fun in it.
Irv's lot was just to get
at least a bit of it.
Well Big Bill, y'all know
says he saw some of it.
Fast Freddie famously
he had a run of it.
While Dizzy Don never
really got done with it.
But lucky me, I got
only the best of it.

Some are born into it.
Others go right through it....

Mr. Ollie used a tall scaffold
It was rickety and kind of old.
He had to fix walls which had black mold.
Cousin Jeff offered to hold.
Scaffolding so it would not fold.
Mr. Ollie said it was good as gold.
Forgetting he had an awful cold.
Sneeze knocked him off, big and bold.
Dead on the floor for days I’m told.
Doubt if house will ever be sold...

Premium Member Mr Ollie the Ginger Cat
on the beanbag he sleeps
curled up circle of fur
dry food he crunches
by the glass sliding door
ever alert looking around
leaps five feet of the ground
to take a mark
between his front paws
as he lands, he spills the bowl
of dry food and some of the milk
on the saucer
he eats the fly
is pleased with himself
cleans himself
on the beanbag he sleeps...

Ollie Nugent
Ollie, born 1997, plays for Chester football club,
Having made his way through Chester juniors;
The club were delighted and chuffed for Ollie,
To be going to Rio as one of the competitors.

As the youngest person to play for England,
Ollie added much to the CP World Champs,
In 2015 at St Georges Park, practice ground,
Because after this he was chosen with clamps....

Premium Member Ollie Onion Tells off the Kitchen Knife
Ollie onion had never been this mad in his life
He turned all his anger on the kitchen knife
How dare you try to peel me, you interloper, he said.
The knife was embarrassed, his face turned red.

I did not know that you were alive, he admitted.
No one told me this, I am confused, he spitted.
Ollie was not in the forgiving mood at all.
He sent that knife packing, down the hall....

Ollie, Ollie, the reddish sun is coming up,
Mother's in the kitchen filling the teacup,
Teddy bear awaits fantastic adventure today,
Walk softly little Ollie, 'til shadows go away.

Ollie, Ollie, green grassy fields are calling,
Frogs are croaking, and rooster is bawling,
Time is swift, but the days are growing long,
Making way for the frenzied summer throng!

Premium Member Knowing I am Beloved
I can rebuild that shed
but the memory of Ollie falling off the roof would be lost if I did.
I see my squirrels chasing each other around my walnut tree.
I outlived both Chip and Dale.

I gaze up into the blue sky
feeling God staring at me,
sending me warmth, comfort, and vitamin D.

Every iris, clover, dandelion, clump of moss has purpose.
I relish in my sliver of nature.
Feeling Him in every teensy flea and bee.

Knowing I am beloved as I create my
own story....

Don’t ask me why a pesky fly comes by
Whenever I sit down to have a meal
And she stays staring at each bite I take
As if she wants to say let’s make a deal
To let her sample then make up her mind
While lips she licks and then with tears implore
To my obliging sentimental heart
Until, like Ollie Twist, she asks for more.
