If every month’s a color
Then October has to be
The same orange as a pumpkin
And I think we’d all agree.
For as fall, in its ascendance,
Turns the leaves and ripens gourds,
Golds and oranges and ochres
Are the notes of autumn’s chords.
So I welcome Ms. October
Gussied up in tangerine,
Bringing just enough of chilly days
To supersede the green.
Leaves of different colours
Drift to the ground
Autumn's carpet
Reds, ochres and browns
For seasons they grace
An audience of life
To end their days
In decaying strife
Natures loss
Is natures gain
Their nutrients never wasted
Or their life in vain

I have earrings shaped like acorns
And I poked them through my ears
As a welcome to this season
And my joy when it appears.
Though the leaves have yet to burnish
I await those golden hues,
For to live without those ochres
Is an option I’d refuse.
There’s a nip there in the morning;
Time to drag the sweaters out
For the crispness and the colors
Are what autumn’s all about.

Glittering like d sun,
Sight blue like d moon,
Enamels pure as diamond,
Smile resembling snow.
Filled with aura of confidence,
Soo quixotic as u are,
With ochres adorning ur soul,

Soft hearted,
But strong in spirit,
Never to quit and always challenging,
