Woman, your physical beauty
nourishes my flesh...
Your spiritual beauty,
divinizes my soul...!
time and patience work together
time is the seed
and patience is the water
which nourishes life
to flourish in the future
poetry soup
nourishes the soul
delivering smooth and creamy
fodder
in a community bowl
for all to share
i am a crouton
Form:
The cold mist on the grass
Nourishes innocent souls
As to carry them along without word
But influencing enough
To drift you into the
Sun.
"The gift of poetic genius ennobles the soul of the poet, and nourishes the hearts and minds of all those who read him (her)."
--Ngoc M. Nguyen
Sweet rain drops tapping on the window panes
leaving trails on sills and ivy
in a rush like soft liquid,
crystals fall, then vanish
‘neath the thirsty earth
and nourishes
the flowers;
earth worms
too!

Isn't the brilliant sun the star
of our Universe? Doesn't it rise
at sunrise and brightens clouds?
The sun is a life-giver,
it nourishes with its warm rays
everything beneath this sky...
be grateful as I!
He knows us by name
Nourishes us daily
Loves all his people
Listens to our prayers
Ignores religions
Has many names
Omnipresent
Omnipotent
Open minded
Spiritual
Flexible
Loves us all
Kind
Pure
God
The kiss is for
the animus, as well as
the bread for the body...
Bread nourishes the physical,
the kiss feeds
the passion...
the body gains health
and the spirit, essence...!
We worship the meatball-breasted
Slug-eyed One
Who is fragrant with tomato sauce
Who nourishes us well
Liberates us from hunger
For the sake of full bellies
Even while the cucumbers
Ferment in the refrigerator.

The Blue Princess Holly blooms
The Honeybees hum a tune
As they drink its nectar sweet
Springtime dividends a treat
The Red Wasp visits too
The nectar nourishes true
A pod of Blackbirds fly by
Like a school of fish in the sky____
Extraterrestrial Nourishment
It is what nourishes the hunger within a poet's mind
which satiates the restless heart with a precious find

Cacophonous crow
Raucously robbing robins
Pandemonium
Salivating snail
Predator of petunias
Duck delicacy
Sweet Spring surprises
Doe dining delicately
Nature nourishes
Hungry hawk hovers
Quiet quail quakes and quivers
Corn cover conceals
Dandelions have seeded the lawn,
butterflies come.
Hosts of weeds
have invaded the cabbage patch.
The earth is enriched.
Dog poop in the unkept grass
nourishes the plowing worms
and grubs.
Doing nothing,
I have achieved Zen.
when in silence we then see
space flickers from time to time
we simply look at this phenomena
by melding with the subtle element
we simply see it as a living womb
containing all manifestations
transmitting each tremor to God
Who nourishes all life with His breath
Vivacious sight
unflinchingly opens doors
young gigantic hearts
symmetrical vision flows
nourishes wiggling feelings
If it wasn't for the Lord
Who gave us sun and rain
We wouldn't have a harvest
Only land that's dry and plain.
So thank you Lord for blessing us
With everything we need
The sun and rain that nourishes
The planting of the seed.
For Brian's contest, Harvest
To live as the magic
Which moves from your finger,
To be the soft word
Your lips preach forth,
To be the land on which
Your sun illuminates,
To be the soil
Your water nourishes.
Oh, to be yours
The kindle of your spirit,
The flame of your heart,
The motion of your body.
In his likeness and,
Out of boundless love, he
Cursed the earth into existence.
Every man with a uniqueness which
Nourishes the sight.
When the clouds ladens and,
Thunderbolts rocks the earth,
Children fix their stares to the skies and,
Grace their eyes with arrays of wonderful colors.
Spring Tanka
the scented blackthorn
bursting into sudden bloom -
new life emerges
and the slowly warming earth
nourishes temperate spring

The devil tap dances on the edge of your desperation
Your fate upon on a spinning coin of revelation
Faith nourishes as some lead without hesitation
Fear and greed lead to many a soul’s dehydration
God intervenes, protects His children – Salvation

May we understand…no matter who we are…
Our gender, our religion, our nationality our name
The rain that falls from the sky
nourishes all of us the same.
And may we all someday be blessed
In the time for us that still remains…
To do our best when it comes to one another
To be more like the rain
I took off my insecurities
and made love to my pain
I set the heaven on the fire
The ashes of the fore mothers
poured down
in the showers of gold
the luminescent rain
that liberates, that heals
and nourishes
The wild flowers
who grows
in the fields
The thorny roses
who blooms
in the dust of roads
