The lawn lies layer with leaves
like a pile of crisp nachos
covered with cherry tomato salsa
waiting for the shower of cream.

Let's float together
Laugh alot
Combos, nachos
Hit the spot
Other things
That feel so good
You know, I know

Oh, I love my breakfast tacos;
Appropriated are the best.
Not those nasty squirt cheese nachos;
They're just too hard to digest.
Man, I love the unique flavors:
on the go with latinx.
Jillio is seeking favor,
Show that chica some respect!

In what good has it all come to
In my imaginary mind?
We roll through the wake of the water,
Goddammitting our way through.
Rising with our victories.
Cursing in our swift descents.
Buddhists are laughing on the shoreline.
I’m selling popcorn on the boat.

Poems about heartache,
Poems about knees.
Poems about lost love.
Poems about cheese.
Poems about lettuce,
Poems about tacos,
Poems about kidnapped cats,
Poems about nachos.
Poems are coming out of my fingers.
Poems are coming out of my nose.
Stand back, dear friend.
The poem on you has suspicious glows.

If you’re bored or nervous
Do what most of us embrace.
Head out to the kitchen
And proceed to stuff your face.
Popcorn, pretzels, nachos -
Even chocolate has its place –
Fill a bowl or grab the bag,
Sit down and stuff your face.
Though you may feel guilty,
You’re not lone in your disgrace.
It’s a universal vice –
The stuffing of one’s face.

Her good and grace
Placed in disgrace
As the human moment
And cheese-covered roadkill
Gets the best of her better soul
She snatches the dripping morsel
This Byzantine beauty lets it roll
Wiping the lost drop of nachoness
With dexterity and pedicured elegance
Only to lick it clean and nasty
Before anyone realizes
Her subtle act of triumph
Makes her one of us.

A hundred miles North of here,
there are lonely shy sasquatch's
elderly crypto beasts
that roam the small woods
between gray urban sprawls.
I'm told they live on picnic snacks
discarded by occasional
slow-walking hikers.
Corn nachos, cheesy puffs,
the odd half-eaten egg sandwich.
It breaks my heart to hear
that they have no medical care,
nor any meds to take
when they get a tummy ache.

Such a lazy man
All he does, is sit around,
Doesn't do his job
Godmother does all the work,
He sits around and complains
About kids wanting wishes.
Runs from the kitchen
The commercials are over
Sits on the sofa
Nachos, pretzels, beer, he has
He's looking for the remote
Time to watch the football game.
