Premium Member Time to De-ICE

Those darn ICE agents in Minnesota!
They don't have a clue! Not one iota!
For once, just take some advice:
the U.S. needs to de-ICE
and please drop your deportation quota!

Premium Member Stitch Enjoys Halloween in Minnesota

Stitch ran to Minnesota to enjoy Halloween
He had heard he might find the Pumpkin Queen
She was nowhere in sight, but he got to see
A little snow, which never happens in Hawaii.

Premium Member Monday Night In My Blue Flesh

Monday night in my blue flesh
Shouldn’t complain it’s cold
Minnesota will be much crueler
and much warmer too
cozied up with the grandson crew
and their cockapoo

Winter Dream

endless snow
is this minnesota?
makes me think of Laura Ingalls Wilders stories
of the hard winters
so I get out my books and lose myself again
in my childhood
a good winter dream

Minnesota

A little girl from Minnesota.
Got filled up on chocolate soda.
She cried to her mummy.
I hurt in my tummy.
Mum said, I think you've had your quota.

Rorie the rock star mouse ordered a big electric guitar
He was in a band in Wisconsin, but was Minnesota far?
Many begged him to join them, was one band enough?

Happy as a Songbird

days of hard rain fell
yellow tinged silence followed
birds rejoiced in song

....couple weeks ago, it rained hard for days here in Minnesota,
movement ceased for a few days...then life renewed!

Premium Member Pink House Boat

Her pink house boat is the talk of the folks of Minnesota Bay
Some of the delighted women of Minneapolis said, “hey! hey!”
I think it might be too girly, said her brother Billie Bee Boy.
But it gives lots of us a feeling of happiness, bringing us joy

and sun, Minnesota coated
with snow and ice. cockapoo

at footfall on the front porch.

Premium Member many mistakes in Minnesota

mixed bag of misgivings misconstrued Mrs. Mulligan’s miscomprehensions misunderstood. Miserable Mrs. M. mistrusted Minnesota moderators’ misuse of mockery and mimicry. Monkeyshine mix up, monopolized moronic mood, a monumental mortiferous mistake made by many.

Premium Member monster blizzards in the USA

Blizzard of seventy-eight
Paralyzed USA’s middle state of Indiana
Not as awful as the great blizzard of 1888
Which dropped fifty inches of snow in three days

Even blizzard alley
Minnesota, North and South Dakota
Did not suffer from these two record
Monster blizzards

Wonder About Trump

I am beginning to wonder about Trump. Every candidate
should have to take the Minnesota Multiphasic Personality
Inventory (MMPI), Wechsler Bellevue, Stanford Benet,
Miller Analogies and Kuder Interest Test. This would prove
just how normal each one of the candidates are.

Premium Member Photographing Two Frisky Fox Kits

Two frisky kits
Enjoying each other
About the same size
Being watched by their mother

I used a telescopic lens
For I did not want to get carried away
By a super protective mother
Who might have chased me far that day

The kids had no idea
They are being photographed
I secretly named them
Minnesota and McRaft

Mount St. Helens in Washington erupts, causing a massive avalanche and killing 57 people on this day in 1980. Ash from the volcanic eruption fell as far away as Minnesota.

I lived only 235 miles south from Mount St. Helens when it erupted.

Premium Member May In Minnesota

Lightning throbs

Sending rain pelting
Through me

Joyously soaking my soul

Home now-
Clothes hanging on iron glyphs;
Soon to adorn my garden

The sun peaks out-
Bright red pinecones are forming
 Like little green
Tipped clubs on the Norway Pine
Outside my window;
My heart entwined with the
Budding pinecones

Absorbing hope

Premium Member March in Minnesota

The air feels different
Forgiving, even kind!

Chicadees & Robins flitting
From bushes to trees
Recon flights scouting
Proper nesting sites

A Bald Eagle flew overhead
This morning as I travelled
The motorway
Good luck!

A muddy penny, unloved, castaway
Zinc replaced copper
Time replaced need

Escape from Winter's icy womb!
joy
