Every milestone we meet is wonderful
but upon further inspection…
Every milestone is just a reminder
that we are heading in the right direction

Beginning, Again

Clocks ticking ever onward
calendar pages turned, anew;
Life's movement and measures
are but waiting for you
Milestones, fresh memories
come, find new treasures
write beautiful stories
Beginning, again

Premium Member DAILY GRATITUDE MOMENTS IN BETWEEN

I am grateful for this little bit of wisdom
I learned from a life filled with love…
not from any books upon the shelves:

The moments in between our milestones
are as important as the milestones themselves

Sea Worthy

Once more
these achievements
milestones on your journey
anniversaries, like buoys
mark how far you've come- over life's ocean
through all kinds of weather, you have
safely held together
proven sea-worthy
once more

Prison Homes

There is no hope in curiosity.

It is only through velocity.

Our willingness to leave our homes.

Which have turned into prison domes.

It is only through creating milestones.

That will lead us through, to feel frenzy in our bones!

Milestones In Time

A thousand adventures
A hundred love stories
Stimulating emotions
Milestones met in time

Words igniting the imagination
Changing their faces
Distorting the lines of reality
Merging minds as one

Style and rhythm
Rhyme and reason
Time is racing forward
To relive a thousand dreams

Premium Member Marathoning

in the marathon of life
milestones
sprints
coastings
downhills
uphills
the last miles

the most precious
being the captain of our vessel
guiding it to the finish line
steering
with pride and
determination
going the distance
heading in the right direction

Milestones

It rained the first day
It rained the last
Tears fell each time
It’s moving too fast

So many days in between
Victories and regrets
A painfully beautiful time
Another giant step

Once again, I sit and reflect
As the crying sky mourns
I realize how helpless I’ve been
Starting the day they were born

Life had direction
Purpose always known
Knew which way to head
Knew which way to go

Living in the moment
Walking a certain direction
Knowing the next step
On life’s path of intention

Achieving many milestones
A fulfilled life aglow
The path of direction since ended
Uncertainty now……which way to go?

After a Loss

After we first found you in the wild-

You reached milestones we never imagined.

As you become less estranged.

But still acting a little strange.

Because you are a cat.

Cats can be thankful.

But only when you turn your back on them.

Cats can be helpless.

But only when tragedy is near.

Life's A Journey

Every big goal
Starts with a single leap
Think about what's your role
Why it matters to you to jumpship
Sometimes, change is courage
Set small pace to achieve milestones
Running though slow is a sure advantage
Along the way are fires and brimstones
It’s normal to face challenges
They’re part of the journey's praxis.

Twisted Tea

I invite you to see my milestones;
Twisted tea tastes better.
I want you to understand my goals;
Twisted tea tastes better.
I want you to be in my life;
But you drink until you steal a strangers sweater.
I offer you love when you feel alone -
You don't think I"ll worry ever;
But I'm not sure Twisted tea should taste better.

The Milestones Ahead

As silence trickles behind, our message is woven ahead.

We can no longer wait, we must create understanding instead.

This patience we are beginning to lose.

It is true that our needs have been refused.

It is too late for some of us, we have already been denied.

But there is hope for the children, the milestones they shall ride!

Brazen

The child I could never be- but I was still adored.

The lost milestones will never be restored.

The hope for normalcy will never be revived.

The normalcy that I thought was worth being strived.

Those habits that I used to treasure.

That now haunt me and take away my pleasure.

Those odd ways of mine, are becoming unwoven.

As has my silence, from now on I am brazen!

Premium Member Portrait of Life

Life is sometimes like a photo when all of your
experiences get impressed as a canvas.
Some events are never forgotten for the vivid
they are.
Crisis, setbacks, hardships. Challenging
moments at least once in a life time.

Birth of a baby, weddings, graduations.
Milestones in most of the population.
Life is constant change. You have to go
with the flow.

MILESTONES Small stone posts stuck in the ground, mark life’s fleeting journey. From birth to death these small posts, remind us of our odyssey. Some people have stones aplenty, while others not so many. These small stones tell the tales, of all our triumphs and tragedies. A stone is etched, with our first cry. With our last breath, the last stone marks our death.

Markers

You preferred the milestones of life
House, kids, somebodies wife
I preferred the simpleness of our mile markers

pitter-patter of running feet
1 mile
then the beep

sweaty brow
Bright clear eyes
tip toes
as you come in to celebrate
with a kiss
running with you is pure bliss

i preferred to celebrate
each mile with you
my love for you
was simple and pure
I wish the immensity of it you knew.
