Listen to poem:
it’s what remains unsaid
such words withheld in the dark
like shards of silence
with their razor edge precision
maiming the heart that lies in wait

Never Too Late
In vain you uplift, believing your own deceit. No matter if you're not swift. Time shall allow you to accomplish feat. Now, curled up swaying, while unbelieving demented whispers roll, memento clutched so tight it's maiming, He who heeded fool words of comfort sits and faces the toll.

Windows
standing at windows the day speeds by,

people scurry as ants or inside metal monsters,

always coming to and away,

business of great importance,

hastening deeds so that more deeds may be done,

and more quickly.

Neon signs and gas to pump,

gazing from above,

seemingly moments,

but wasting days,

killing time or simply maiming it....

Once slick Senorita from Sevilla
Watched proud Toro shamed by faena*
So she lured Picador
Behind her unlocked door
And gored him till he split on his Pica.

•	faena : the manœuvres with the cape
the toro is subjected to by the matador
after the maiming of the magnificent beast
by the picador

Sign of the Times
Scandalous governments

Inflicting misery,

Genocidal tendencies

Nuclear threat,

Our humanity next

For extinction,

This malicious legion

Harnessing hate and greed,

Extermination of other species,

Trespassers on nature

Insanity is their policy,

Murder and maiming vicariously,

End of days from climate change

Shows the ignorance of humanity.

Cacophony
Breaking, bashing, creaking, crashing
Pandemonic pounding pain
Reverberating bone to brain
Slamming, smashing, thrumming, thrashing
Mechanical chaotic grate
Echoing; can't concentrate

Scraping, scarring, jangling jarring
Bastard, broken beat becomes
Endless, dreadful demon drums
Maiming, marring, ringing, roaring
Blaring banging babel beats
Repeats, repeats, repeats, repeats...

After the Rain
Without our faults as a people,
our failure as a nation,
we will never tell the worth of man.

Without our lies of love and unity
we will never recognize the Nigeria
in all of us.

Without angry soldiers
shooting,
killing,
and maiming our people,

Without death smilling at us;
we would never tell the price of freedom.
we would never read the cold lips
of our heroes` grave....

Premium Member What If They Deserve It
He hit his teacher
And kicked a classmate.
His teacher called for the principal.
She was reading a book.
She suggested me.
I am the school counselor.
I said, “you know you cannot hit and kick people right?”
He asked, “what if they deserve it?”
I have wanted to kick a few people myself.
I had no answer for that.
But got him back to his room without maiming anyone else.
So that’s a great start right?...

Extremist
Extremist

Yet again blood spills out onto the streets
It’s another attack on innocent people
The extremists are at work again
Killing and maiming people
Men, women and children, it doesn’t matter
These people
The extremists, they have no respect for the human race
Their minds, filled with hatred and evil
Their belief is based upon destruction
These extremists are the devil’s disciples
They will not stop, whilst under his command...

Premium Member The Beauty of Silence Learned Over and Over
No one understands the beauty of being silent more than I.
I have learned the lesson so many times.
Over and over and over.
And yet, here I am,
Fuming mad.
The little angry
Dude inside
Screaming for
Me to Right a
Wrong; not
My business
As usual.

Injustice will
Be the Death
Of me. Or at
Least the death
Of some of
My Opportunities.
I am
Ready
To Scream
The Truth,
Maiming
Myself
With
My
Mouth
For the
Zillionth Time…....

No Remembrance
We
Buy
Poppies
Red as blood
And wear them with pride
In memory of fallen heroes,
Those young men and boys, slaughtered one hundred years ago.

No !
We
Cannot
Remember
Because we weren’t there,
We cannot recall what it’s like,
Save for witnesses : Owen, Sassoon, Blunden and Brooke.

We
Can
Only
Experience
Remotely, ‘tis true,
Through the words of those who were there –
The blast of the shell, the gas, screaming, maiming and death....

I Get Hurt So Much I Feel So Pain
TIBET

My country is my heart.
The land is my body.

People came with sharp machines.
Maiming my limbs,
Dismembering my insides.

Without permession,
Without pay.

My soul is forced out of my body.
My blood turns rancid, poisonous.

They gouge deep wounds over my body.
My tears are as rain.

I want to protect me.
I feel too weak.

I can’t breathe.
I can’t move.

I, so powerless under Chinese violation.
I am in excruciating pain.

Can you hear my cry?...
