Cacophony

Breaking, bashing, creaking, crashing
Pandemonic pounding pain
Reverberating bone to brain
Slamming, smashing, thrumming, thrashing
Mechanical chaotic grate
Echoing; can't concentrate

Scraping, scarring, jangling jarring
Bastard, broken beat becomes
Endless, dreadful demon drums
Maiming, marring, ringing, roaring
Blaring banging babel beats
Repeats, repeats, repeats, repeats

Enjoyed this one immensely, as an anti-melodic kind of piece. More, more! … Reminiscent of Frank Zappa's comment on what things were like when his group of zanies was unleashed in a sedate recording studio "back in the day." ~ Gershon

Your poem flows with a pounding, persistent, resistant beat...the words say everything, evoking thoughts within the reader's consciousness until we can almost feel the words grating against our teeth...as we chew on them for a while rather than swallowing them whole, for they tend to stick in our craw in rapid consumption. Well done, Emile.
