Premium Member It Feels Like Love

I have a best friend
A look alike
An admirer
She has my face
Her freckles, her laugh, her mannerisms are also mine.
People asked me what having an identical twin feels like.
It feels like love, I say.

Premium Member Charlie Chaplin

Charlie Chaplin won third place in his own look alike contest At times things don't add up, as silliness goes this is the best Still chuckling over this The irony can't be missed Maybe he was two-faced and maybe wore a tight dress

A Love Story

A lane alone
A look alike
A lift aloft
A love alive
A luau aloha
A load allied
A laugh aloof
A lode allude
A lore allure
A loan align
A lodge allege
A lobo alibi
A law allow
A loss alas
A lane alone

Pampering With Pets

Golly gee. Eeks and yike
Pet and owner look alike
Having a perfect spa day
As the wrinkles fade away

Looking young again once more
Isn't such a horrid chore
With a mask upon the face
In a cozy comfy place

Relaxing with a snack or two
Nothing but the best for you
But carefully you must peel
Off the mask, or pain you'll feel

Silent Whisper

Moving and flowing with life,
fear somwhere inside,
listening to silent guide
embracing a twilight.

Problems are inevitable
helpers nowhere
yet there is a hope
silent whispers has said

I wish to fly high
like all humans- look alike
destiny to put aside
all miseries to hide

Silent whisper has promised
to rescue from pain
reach a coomon path
of love and no disdain...

Premium Member Pepe Le Pew and Penelope Pussycat

Pepe Le Pew
Quest for love he would always pursue
But his over enthusiastic romantic way
Is rejected by a skunk look alike who keeps running away.

Penelope Pussycat
Smothered in kisses and squeezes she would always combat
A black cat with an accidental painted white stripe
Penelope knew she wasn't that type.

Premium Member Help Needed

Rows neatly planted
Running east to west

Then a field of wheat
Ready for harvest
Golden is the grain

All the plants look alike
Not a weed did I see
For miles one golden stand

Time for harvest_
Are we ready?
Gain needs gathering
Putting into the barns
Before the summer storm__

Where are the laborers?
Workers are so few_
None to drive the tractor
Could this farm employ you?

About Love

This night, the moon shining at the window
There are some noises tonight
Tonight there are some noises to build love
There are some noises tonight

Not all angels look alike, not all, my love!
With some there's nothing left but
a few delusions:
your shadow in the dark.

Some angels hide miseries in their breath
And change postures to love, but
they do not love.
Need to change ways to love

The Sands of Time

the grains on the glass
like the people of the town
they all look alike
but no one is
they trapped in the glass
but they call it home
they all fall one way 'til time is up
then they go the other way
why do they all go the same way
why not find a leader
to lead them out,
of the pain of following the rest
someone has to fight
or there isn't anything left
fight for what you love
be better than the rest

Sister Act

What can I say about my sisters?
Are they a thorn in the side, like blisters?
Or my oldest friends, indeed,
Always mentors in time of need,
The family ties that bind,
Ever ready to say "Never mind",
We look alike, but think apart,
Oldest friends from times long past,
"Older ladies', we've ripened,
Can't buy sisters with a stipend,
Are sisters thorns in the sides like blisters?
No, you cannot buy my sisters!

Do Not Be Fooled

By enemies who pretend to be friends
By the wickedness of this world
By the book that does not disclose
By the smile that is always smiling

By the joke that is been shared
By the laughter when appearance are made
By the tears on the face
By the confusion made by look alike

By the language that is being used
By the achievements that have been acquired
By the route that is been taken
By the plan that is been formulated

Look Alike

look-alike

my look-alike
was a book-keeper
I was one too
But got bored,
Joined the navy
I have not seen my look-alike
For forty years.
There is a mirror
In the hall
Tell me of times gone.
He has sent me a thousand email
But it feels like
I have sent them myself.
I want to be free of him
He occupies
Too much space in my head
But, the chain isis unbroken
It has roots stretching
Across the globe.
Finally, we will
cross the river together.

Premium Member Have you seen the boobie

Have you seen the boobie? Asked Copper Mike to Steve McLiss.
Steve was horrified. Just one? What kind of woman is this?
Not a woman, but a platypus-look-alike, said instigator Mike.
She’s down by the red hibiscus cottage, want to take a hike?

They marched down the path, Steve, all excited ready to see
One boobie, and yet, he saw not one, but three.
And they were blue-footed boobys, not a boobie at all.
He stalked back to his barracks angry, right before mess call.

Beauty

It doesn't matter what is on the outside
it only matters what is on the inside that counts

beauty is realized in the soul
don't over react if you don't look perfect
no one is perfect

if you were supposed to be perfect god
would have made you that way just because
someone doesn't look like you

don't make fun of them either it only matters
what is on the inside

everyone looks different everyone doesn't
have to look alike

beauty is the heart and soul of a person.

When Teardops Fall

When teardrops fall
It will be because
That I lost you
To life….

I had never cried
In my life
And yet I know
To you I will… if I lost thee

Everyday I am waiting
A glimpse of ……
A beautiful face
An angel look alike

Everyday longing
Hearing gentle whispers
From a love so true
Beneath your hearts abyss

Touching you
There’s nothing
You could ask for
So much love I have felt

But now I have you
Happiness and contentment is me
Only time and God will take you away
It is when, teardrops fall

Premium Member Who We Are?

Who am i
Who are you
What are we exactly here to do?
Honourable missions in our life
Bring happiness
To quell strife
Treat each others as we would do
Live in peace no harm to you
Take care look after brothers
Treat them equal and not as others
Words of kindness are free to us
Use them wise no need to cuss
Live and love as we are meant
On this planet heaven sent
As individuals we are rare
Animals look alike and have to share
If we appreciate who we are
You and i have come far.

Premium Member Adjudication Found

Listen to poem:
Permanence becomes a trial
stacked with a jury same as the judge
both demanding a punishment
damning grounds of steadiness

the courtroom has one crowd
wearing masks that look alike
while spectators are kept outside
until the verdict is handed down

two alternatives by the law
stated from the Devil’s script
either life in solitude
or a quick end by turpitude

with no defense in this courtroom
the decree will be applied
adjudication found at last
by the accused upon themselves.
