Here’s a longish sort of limerick
with two extra lines; yeah, that’s the trick.
Takes a bit more time
to tease out a rhyme
with rhythm that’s good
and well understood;
if I say so myself, that’s pretty slick!

ok I'm not a good poet
and what I do for art
sucks too and
I'm not really
a poet or an artist at all.
We can get that out of the way.
And what I am is just a guy
who lives here doing some
biological duty, un-
memorable, living with error,
memory of failure, denying
death.

Sailing on a boat
Embarks to a new harbor
Prompting to abscond
Departing from foregoing
Commencing a longish trek

An idea was imprisoned in such a bind
It bounced about within the precincts of the mind
What did it mean I heard you say
I didn’t know about it right away
For it was not alone in there
And had to survive a longish stare
But what was missing in its story
Was the truth in all its glory
What will be written for the ages
In history as you turn the pages
Will it be corrected with a stroke of the pen
Or will the stroke win in end.
