To the Loneliest Crumbs Instead
every word
that was said
supplies me
with these
tiny morsels of
bread
that we succumb
to the loneliest
crumbs, instead...

The Third Chime
Of all the chimes, it was the third,
And this I well recall--
It was the saddest sound I've heard,
And the loneliest of all.

Only the Lonely Know Me
The stars is the loneliest of places.
So far apart, are all the familiar faces.
Surely we all see the Light,
But it is in dark space we forever reside....

Our Loneliest Tears
I made your voice when I dreamed
of a resounding conviction
I told your name only
when voices seemed to fit
I wrote it only in syllables
Even when none stood their test
I cried in tears when these syllables could
only stream...

Midnight Song
You're a song that my heart keeps singing
Mostly after midnight when only the loneliest of birds still call
I'm answered in the whisper of night air
and a choir of crickets
While I sit murmuring softly to myself on the front steps...

This Tear
this tear
starts here
deep within my heart
the loneliest part
keeping clear
the pathway for my tear

makes its way
to my face
no other way to go
but through the lump in my throat
at a steady pace
as this tear finds its way

into the chilled air
free and clear
then down along
a path well worn
this tear
ends here...

Premium Member Listening To the Waves
The pearl lay
In the half shell
The oyster paid and was spent

The bird fell
From the sky
Shackled to a fishing tackle ascent

The beach stretched
To the loneliest point
Where infinity was met

The man sank
In an ocean of regret
Forgetting what his life meant

And I stayed
Wondering where
My rhythm went

Hi Light of Night
on a clear
loneliest night
the heavens do shine
their twinkling light
I am lying in my sleeping bagYARD
using just these eyes
to view the Beauty there
it isn't very yard
My Wandering eye
a sad one to Cry
Because my Parents have left me
without even saying goodbye
And so I look up upon the nearest Star
There is my Home
A paradise so afar...

Sometimes
Sometimes in the quietest, loneliest parts of the night
When it seems like I miss you most
I somehow get the sense of you near me
Never fully materializing, but there…
The flash of your smile-The whisper of your voice
The taste of you lips-The heat of you body
The beat of your heart
There in the darkness-Just beyond reach
Part of myself I can’t quite touch....

Lyria
I am Lyria.
Short and small
But much stronger than them all.
For though my bodies weak and petite
My mind is steal
And rather neat.
I can create Palaces
Out of nothing
But bricks of blood and stone
My eyes aren’t sharp
But clever I am
I see through brain and bone.
And yet
I never forget
For all my quirky creative ways
I’ve loneliest
Loneliest of days....

Neptune Continues
July saw you drinking mimosas
underneath a tree that wept shadows.
You were never one for cloudless days
by the sea. Silver wax over golden dust.
You are beginning to realize
blue might be the loneliest colour
when caught without the sun.

Yet only the ocean can speak of love in any tense.
Look at how it creates and destroys
at the same time.
Look at how
it carries on....

rabbits leap across
loneliest graveled dirt roads
barely missing tires
~
possum shuffle past
the white lines along the curbs
hopes fill their belly

raccoon dart out from
beneath laurels and pine trees
hustling toward hills
~
bear lumber along
awaiting hibernation
along forest trails

deer travel quiet
sighing soft in the headlights
through misty night fog...

Loneliest Existence
With the sun in the forceps
Of an ageless night,
The bells at the lighthouse toll
Until they are merely sterile
Breaths.
Occasionally, a ghostly whisper
Validates and dissects
Each tear, each truth.
I can't imagine their loneliness-
watching light burn
Until it is as small as a flea,
While we endure engulfed
In light,
Principals of refuge
And shadow....

Singledom
Some of loneliest people are married folk
It because the love they shared had died
Never give up what you have if your lonely
Give it up because of your love you found
Love and life go hand in hand all the time
Especially if shared by two hearts as one
Don't be fooled thinking loneliness is bad
Others might be fooled by making choices
Making their own life as miserable as sin...

May
The latter of the ninth of May
Silence vacant
A blanket of thoughts
Within my heaven, I lay in wait
The darkest corner
The loneliest day
All neglecting
Oh, please may I stay?
But a whisper of hope, ever failed
Alone, oh me
The latter of the ninth of May
Lament upon my thoughts
Upon a shadows shoulders
The world shall sift away
Upon a shadows shoulders
This world shall then betray...

The Loneliest Corner In the Whole World
I caught a glimpse of you from the corner of my eye.
You bared a mark of birth at the corner of your eye.

I sat there trying to show that I didn't know where to go.
I wanted to let you know you had a special glow.

  But I sat there idle,
knowing I would never make a move.

So I leave you alone, you leave me alone, and we remain alone.
Everyday I grow colder and older, like a stone....

Loneliest Hour
I listen, content to hear raindrops from an anguished sky pour out.
My darkest hour of night is just a fragment of one day, only
a fragment of a fleeting life; but an ending to grief, I somehow doubt.
If I live through nights void of love, not alone but lonely,
(for there is a difference) I will dream of your face and wake happily.
