Now the turkeys are feeding like kings
And they flap round their high protein wings
Soon unknown to the dears
They will sit on their rears
And be roasted and stuffed, the poor things
Hope is a bridge that leads to other things
Adventure is a big part of being happy, for me anyway
Peace of mind and heart, that makes us feel like kings
People that make you feel included, tomorrow and today
You love yourself, as well as others, in almost every way
This isn’t scripture I just made it up but it sounds cool, lol
The least shall hunger not for they shall be fed
Sit on your pulpits like kings looking down at them
For the one that sits below you shall rise above you
This is my promise to you
For the rich shall hunger and not be fed
Love is like a song a bird sings.
The sound of the magic harp strings.
Like waves of music going through a magic goose's wings.
Oh what joyful but peaceful things.
For over the rainbow lye a treasure it brings.
To live a life like kings and Queens.
But for making love like a song a bird sings.
This is the best of times
materially
This is the worst of times
spiritually
We live like Kings
never satisfied
The more we acquire
the more we desire
Our souls obsessed
with glittering doo-dads
Lunging wildly ~
FOMO on the latest fads
They try to live like kings and princesses,
Yet our daughters and sons are been destroyed by the same people they look up to?
We been blinded by lies and their ambitions.
Instead for fighting for our own,
They are filling their own greed and selfish interests.
Tell me, whose side are they fighting for?
Oh how sweet the taste of living, its soothing full; and joy..
This spring..' roll fields of clover, where ride the horse & boy
when wide blue sky is stretching, and forest boughs show green
there sweetly smile the maidens, as farmers feel like kings
upon the shaded benches, people sit this day; the lark is rising steeply
where winds a dust clad; pilgrims way..'
I am a tiger caged in a zoo
Where loaf and yawn is all I can do
People pass by, they stare and they cheer
The cage is what expels their fear
They all think I am their friend
Though I would kill them in the end
Devour their flesh and leave only bones
I belong in the wild much like kings in their thrones
Yet I lay in the cage and I must behave
Sweet freedom is what I truly crave
The land of my father's explored in sections
A finger of blame points in wrong directions
Despite the concerns of who's to blame
A little girl lost and alone all the same
Taking a soul, horrific abduction
All that you knew, lost in a second
A beast took Beauty, still he won't tell
Kept like kings in sublime cells
Redeems his rights, without a care
She's frightened and alone somewhere
Fantasy fish swim by
in my electric fish tank
Feeling the power of their
unearthly dreams
I drift off into sweet fantasy
Let us watch as vapors rise up
from the street
We cannot be arrested for dreaming!
The years have treated like Kings and Queens
We are being rewarded for our
excellent efforts
Some fish glow in the dark
They manage to exist
despite all the factors
limiting their life - spans
Omnium-Gatherum
By Tom
8/9/2019
Omnium-Gatherum is merely a collection,
Of persons, or sometimes, motley things.
At times others presence causes me abjection,
And variety rarely makes me, feel like kings.
I enjoy others, but generally from a distance,
And give few invitations into my personal space.
Sometimes they’ve crept in, through insistence,
But they’re never allowed, my tenets, to debase.
Give me poetry, women, wine
Let me dine
Kiss the king
Cause this is my castle
And I am the k...g
I am gonna feast
Like kings and queens
I am on poetic ride
Give me couple of drinks
And I am gone
Come, feast with a poet
Don't spoil it
Part on!! Party on!!
Let me take you to the other
side
Show you the light
To the deep dark pleasures
That nothing can give a
measure
So you better act nice
I might give you a chance
Welcome to the Poet's Den
Dine like kings of yore
Savor the relish meant
For lips and hips
As selections indict the mind
Towards crimes we all can
Afford and appreciate
Thwart the slab who conjures joy
In its sublime, mere presence
Make it your own to meet needs
Which wiggle beyond your reach
Settle in with family
Who seize nourishment
Some of yours
Some of theirs
Sum is fine
And in unison or arbitration
We all give way
To the voracious id
We've all been taught
And meant to be.

Life is full of many things
Those with wealth, that live like kings
And those that do not measure up
And fall to short, to fill the cup
But Me, I love to fly
Regard me not, like other guys
When young, I heard a Tale
That removed, the curse-ed vail
That most people sot to save
For mammon they would slave
Grasshopper or Ant
My story, has the former slant
I live today for all its worth
I search world for signs of mirth
I give away, what God gives me
That clearly is my destiny
