Theft of Time

Behind The Veil

Like a thief in the night
academia
wears enlightenment
as a mask
hiding its true agenda
— a stranglehold on the truth

Premium Member Thief In the Night

Even before we met, you were stealing my heart
Like a thief in the night, as quiet as can be.
Now that you have it, we’ll never be torn apart.
For, what you have taken comes with the whole of me.

Thief

like a thief in the night
coming in crescent light
you slip inside of me
stealing all of my dreams

what is a gal to do?
to get her mind off you
you stay when I awake
causing much heart ache

Premium Member The Coming

He will come to us all...like a thief in the night.
He loves all he created...don't judge who's wrong or who's right.
For only he can pass judgement...not you nor I.
Get your own house in order...before he comes back from the sky.

Thief of Hearts

Thief of Hearts

You came into my peaceful life
Stole my fragile heart
Like a thief in the night

You took my love
But somehow you could not find
The love for me
That I prayed you might

My soul is crying
I feel like dying
But I must not
Give up the fight

Shooting Star

I fell like a shooting star
When I saw you from afar
Dancing with your friends
Grappling this love that transcends

You approached me
Wanting me to dance
I felt the urge to flee
But overcame my hesitance

We danced the night away
Lost in the strobe lights
You stole my heart away
Like a thief in the night.

Premium Member Don'T Let Her Steal Your Heart Away

Like a thief in the night she stole your heart But I’ve seen the way you look at her ... It was simply love at first sight She has curves in all the right places You simply can’t keep your hands off her I can no longer compete for your attention Ladies.... Why do we have to suffer when men get a new car! 12th August 2015

The Outside Observer

He's an outsider to the pain I feel
Oblivious and happy-
When with her
Like a thief in the night I want to steal
His heart
But it was never mine from the start
I watch
This time the outsider
An invisible particle of air
All the fire
Extinguished out of me
Pathetic and lonely
My feelings unspared
A smile etched on my face
So that the hurt is never showcased

Poetry

It's when I feel you
I let you be.
Swift, twirling sound in air,
You come like a thief in the night.
Your days of coming are unknown.
When will you whisper
Whisper the words of victory
To punch hills, notch, and porch,
Go north, east, south, and west,
And make Everest my home?
Oh, whisper the swift, twirling sound
'Cause it's when I feel you,
I let you be.

Thieving Fear

Fear ~ Who do you think you are?
And what gives you the right
To infiltrate my senses and trigger me to flight?
From the depths of my mind, you creep with expert stealth,
Like a thief in the night, you rob me of my health.
And while you have the key, you steal away my sanity
I'm held so tightly, in your grip, that I lose myself and abandon ship.

Packing

You flutter about like a bird in flight.
Grabbing things like a thief in the night.
Shirts and pants flying about, what a sight.
When you grabbed the shoes from the floor you gave the dog a fright.
The suitcase on the bed used to be so light.
But now lifting it takes all of your might.
So determined that everything fit just right.
It’s funny to watch you pack tonight.

Precious Gift

Little hands and little feet.
A precious gift for us to keep.

Close your eyes and dream sweet dreams;
of candy canes and choo choo trains.

Little Angel, spread your wings and fly.
Mother will sing you a lullaby.

Like a thief in the night; you stole my heart.
A prisoner of love, Till death due we part.

Little hands and little feet.
A precious gift for us to keep.

Like a Thief In the Night

Like a theif in the night
Never trust any one
To make you usefull

Never depend on any one
To make you responsible

Believe in your ability
Believe in your self
By your self to make
Your self who you want
Yourself to be

If not by the time
You realise by yourself
That you never live
To build your life
By yourself
It will be
Like the thief in the night

In Search of the Cream

Is someone profiting on your wishes and dreams,
renaming your parade

Like a thief in the night they steal every wish,
their own life at best a charade

Is someone else cashing the check you just wrote,
to pay for their larcenous schemes

Has your good name been kidnapped, indentured, enslaved
—as you curdle in search of the cream

Slumber Party

You wake me from my slumber
Like a thief in the night
I fall into you
In the shadows of the light

Dealicate touching
Challanging breath
You penetrate my soul
Like the reaper of death

First fingertips cross a navel
Then nails against a back
Passion and exctacy are two
Things we don't lack

I moisten my lips
As they let go of sighs
I let it all go
And get lost in your eyes

Note To My Heart

To my heart,
You have left me once again.

Letting someone take you away,
With one quick swoop.

Like a thief in the night,
Now your gone away from me.

He stole you away without a thought,
Now he has my heart.

I don’t want you to give it back,
I rather you keep it.

Keep it close it’s a treasure,
Lock in a box close it tight.

Don’t let it get away,
I would rather it stay.

The Other Woman

I'm in your husbands dreams at night more than you'll ever know. With each passing day the need for me will surely grow. I steal from you i steal from him. I am like a thief in the night. The need for me will never cease because i have gripped him and held on tight.

He'll never stop i've got a hold on him until his dying breath, allow me to introduce myself, first name crystal last name meth.

Time To Say Goodbye

On this cold and lonely night,
with the moon shining bright,
I lie awake, your picture clutched tight.

The memories cannot be denied,
haunting the caverns of my mind--
like a thief in the night.

How do I say goodbye?
Filled with sadness, I cry,
blaming myself for all the pain.

The tears I shed, they fall like rain.
Loneliness and sorrow
are all that remain.

Love Snuck Up On Me

Love snuck up on me
like a thief in the night
One day I saw an angel
   then I saw the light.

For no longer could I see
and no longer could I ignore
this man standing next to me
    made my spirits soar.

  Love snuck up on me
     like a thief
     in the night.
   Oh yes, it did
   and it grabbed
   me real tight.
  Love snuck up on me
    and it never
   felt so right!

Expect the Unexpected

You crept into my heart
like a thief in the night
took over my heartache
and made everything all right

You filled out the help wanted application
to become my new best friend
you saw that there was work that needed to be done
and bridges that needed to mend

I honestly couldn't have done it without you,
you have been a real asset
and even if I pass tonight

Your love is one that I will never forget.

Premium Member Death

Death always keeps looking for me
Hiding in the shadows like a thief in the night
If I am not here I will be somewhere else
When I am drowning a life jacket is thrown
Death curses his failure there’s always another day
Sometimes death feels right sometime feels wrong
heaven knows why life is confusing at the best of times
but here I am
If I am not here I will be somewhere else
Don’t wait up

When The Night Has Come

When night has come like a thief in the night
blowing winds of fierce by a blinding light
When the moon's nightdress is a billowed glance
in the same dark sky where the stars have danced

When your broken sleep is far too steep
and your much too tired for arms to keep
When the only glow flows through a lamp
and your sheets are damp as a soggy stamp,

It is time to raise your eyes and pray
and hope He meets you, in mid-way !

Soon

Soon no more heartache and pain
We will be totally from satan's game
Soon no more sleepless nights
With Jesus, he will make everything alright
Soon your life can be at ease
Full of joy,hope and peace
Soon salvation will have reached every parts of the world
Which is for every woman, man, boy and girl
Soon we will be ready for that great day
When Jesus is coming and we will be caught away
Soon he's coming like a thief in the night
You and I must have our souls right

Babies

Cry and cry, all were signs
We ran and ran, affecting the day not by its belly
                              But by its ears.
                      The moon, our worst enemy,
It deceived us, letting our babies to sleep
And then attacking us like a thief in the night.
We sang sweet songs, forcing our mouth,
But alas, it took decades to let her die temporarily.
Babies, oh babies! Where is thy glory.
