The Outside Observer

He's an outsider to the pain I feel
Oblivious and happy-
When with her
Like a thief in the night I want to steal
His heart
But it was never mine from the start
I watch
This time the outsider
An invisible particle of air
All the fire
Extinguished out of me
Pathetic and lonely
My feelings unspared
A smile etched on my face
So that the hurt is never showcased

Brilliant ending! I have been in the same spot where I try to smile-it-off when deep-down I'm really angry. Bet it's good to get it off your chest though, eh?
