I feel Him in the still of Night
and in pools of warm sunlight
I sense His shadow by my side
as twilight lengthens hurried strides
I invite Him in my modest home
pour over His Holy Tomes
As the s h a d o w of life lengthens .................

each day of travel is suspense -
but the Light of the world strengthens.

Summer
lengthens evenings,
dawn stretching til the dusk.
Light cascading through our window,
an amber ray, golden liquid dancing.
Warm to the touch, a soft embrace
lulling a gentle sleep.
Lovers bloom in
summer.
A word
is a story seeming to
invite more stories
and those gather more~
A story lengthens
hoping to come closer to
truth or grace or love~
Yet stories are already
an appearance of these~~
the noose of fate tightens
even as time slows
and space lengthens
such interpretations of mind
fickle, unsound, temperamental
are politely declined
be it instinct, be it reason
if we choose to indulge in thought
it is against soul’s light treason
This One Way Street
Leads to the gateways of hell
Tearing the invincible
Into the tiniest shreds of humanity
Longing for reprieve
Desperate for relief
But the winding road lengthens
Never shall it end
And forever shall it draw you
To your unspeakable fate
a frame cold-sprayed with
perfect tranquility; the world
and the bell are one,
a flock of wheels that join;
then the three-in-one in balance,
the sky,the moment, the crunch
of tyres on gravel,the river flows,
all suffering has gone,the day

The empty corridor of distance

Time passes, conversation and music ends,
light refracts, shimmers in water, bends.
Nails grow, hair lengthens, heads turn and bones break,
stems wilt, gardens overgrow, clouds regurgitate water from lake.
I know that things change, the erratic constant that needs be,
but this loss of you I can’t fathom, grieving the shift from us to just me.
How every move you make
sensitizes my sensibilities?
How every breath you take
heightens my abilities?
How every word you write
wakens my internalities?
How every smile you share
lengthens my eternality?
How ever tenderness you show
makes me grow and grow and grow
beyond my inborn need to know
if you really love me?

Hymen intact, it was a long night
in the grave. A naked skeleton
trying to cover, after a broken skull –
by telltale hands. Failed weapons ?
To bring out the unborn child of a
rhyme? The shadow lengthens on the bird’s nest.
A moon subtracted from a sky, meets
the sobbing silence of a valley. The
virgins will be sold again.
Mind blowing pearl on a wedding day
becomes a dance of tsunami, engulfing a smashed
boat of a body.

As the day lengthens
and sun grows high,
your shadow shortens
as the day goes by,
and i think of you
in noon's repose,
and wonder where
your shadow goes.
Then there you are
on the other side,
in shadow's length
you no longer hide,
afternoon shadow
you slowly slide,
abiding once again
'til your light's revived.

before I'm through,
I've never before met
a gnomon like you.

Oh well the being, mine the floor
of outstretched firmament not lore.
Unsettled ~ yea, but profound more
observance not contingent store.
But giving, give I thee my floor
to walk upon ~ my love as for.
To wait upon as grace implore
I count the time, but ever more.
And love thee so, not adding ~ poor
with Holy will that lengthens shore.
I lengthen faith to thy restore,
not fated, but God's course explore ~
That underrating loses score!
