Separated

The empty corridor of distance
stretches long and dark between us.
Silence, like a deepening shadow,
lengthens as no words redeem us.

Time, an ancient kindly neighbor,
promises a light will come;
a dawn to break the bonds of night,
and love, your love, to take me home.

Hello ron, yes that would be a lonely time for the both of you. You must have been counting the days for her returns. My friend, enjoy your day. /Darlene/

Hi Darlene, my wife, first of all, was working cruise medicine, I could only be with her for a few weeks at a time, contract after contract, then she was working locum tenens in another state while I was custodian of records for the practice we had closed. It was a long, lonely time for us. Your friend, Ron
