The Fights Not Over

no playing around
no laying down
put your feet on the ground
let the bell sound
so you be in your
clover
THE FIGHTS NOT
OVER

I Left

I
Left
The old
Weary way,
Now I cling to the
Old rugged cross where Jesus died
Laying down my heavy luggage of lies, loss and lust

Cast In Stone

All there cast in Stone
Pompeii a gift to all
they laying down as if sleeping
Vesuvius aggrieved and granting
to some a later undeserved mortality

Yearning to be free from sin and self,
I bow before my Savior God and King.
Earnestly I seek Your tender mercies,
Laying down my life an offering.
Dying to my will I live for Yours.

i do not sympathy those asking for it, i sympathy those laying down the battlefield,

Caravaggio

Some of the great paintings he created
evoked the dire fate of many;
Christ's fate was tragic instead:
his sacred entombment was
done with pious hands
laying down his
cold body
pierced by
nails.

Laying down, on my back, on my bed Eyes open, staring at nothing, disturbed in the head Hunting season, bloody reason, landscape turned red Out in the hall, clock on the wall Cuckoo, Cuckoo, Cuckoo

Stepping On Toes

stepping on toes
invading territory
moving in on turf
unacceptable
uncomfortable transition
not going to
take laying down
if threatened will
push back
not going to
back down
this is not going
to happen
it will not fly

Hiding Out

as a girl apart I knew
the best part of life
was a hot summer field
a great book
the sent of summer grass
and your dog
tired from the walk but happy to rest
waiting for what comes next
laying down to read
hiding from the world
hiding out

" For my thoughts are not your
  thoughts, neither are your
  ways, my ways." Declares

We all need to live only by these words.
Laying down our own sharp, swords.

Premium Member Beside You

Beside you when you're laying down
I brush the hair from off your face

Beside you as you fall asleep
Snuggled, between us there's no space

Beside you as you start to dream
A whispered sendoff in your ear

Beside you when you wake again
Kisses, welcome back my dear

State of the Union

laying down
having a hard
time getting up

not sleeping
mind racing
with the noise

of cars chasing
each other around
an oval track

backtracking
fond memories
finding found

dream footage
photos took at
take a look at

perfect timing
in our lives
leaving me

to sigh
to laugh
and smile

Sloth

It pulls from the back of my eyes, heavy
lulling my brain not to think, numbing
laying down my head
circuits shut down
depressed

Best way to describe it, I think
The way it pulls me to sleep
Losing time and mind,
The longer I lay
worse by day

Truly, a demonic curse
The self destroying sin,

Sloth

Eternal Spirit

I feel the lightness of feather
Laying down with dreaming of rain
An eternal divine spirit moving like a breeze
My heart beat raise a little
The divine flame burn upon me
At the moment I found your image
The only thing I can hold to
Then I was with you
Touch of your spark
Feel me alive
Then I felt you were gone out

Seeing the Believing

i'm living
through her
on vacation
so i can see
the seven
colored sea

my bikini fits
perfect to my
perfect body
as my penguin
feet waddle me
out to wad

in waters calm
calming me
in the sun's
sonrisa making
me smile while
laying down

on a beach
soft as a bed
but not for
sleeping
i'm living
her dream

Marching Along

Laying down like the dead
Is not where
I want my head
Living fully
Can be a quite holy
Need to Remember
I’m just a member
Of a program far and wide
And I can use my pride
To March along
Singing my song
This is where I need to be
So I can live life free
Thank you for letting me
Share I will
Shut up and
Be aware.

Untitled #51 / "you Guys Are Full of Excercise"

“You guys are full of exercise” – nonsense
even after she has finished
scolding Kyle for laying down his head
“Not bored, just sleepy”
I don’t blame him,
Calculus sucks
and now CRAZY Mrs. Howe walks in,
crowing, breathless, sharing new information
buying me time to record the events
but alas! even now we check homework.

Generations

He walked her
out of the door
he knew what he was doing
he lived the same before
in the streets the cry
of a broken soul
laying down half dead
and alone.

The unconsciousness
of many lives
generations and generations
of many lies
trying to hide an elephant
trying to be blind
to the pain we all carried
inside.
