Crosses Cover Me
I'm the archetypal black on white
Metallic ring and the typewriter kicks,
Clicks and lashes out, strikes the page
As each key collapses then waits and replaces
Itself to be hit once again,
And it's done, mark made...
Mistake. Can't erase.

Your crosses cover me like
Your kisses.
But each one misses, and the typewriter kicks
Til its black and blue is all over my black ink....

Dangerous Woman
I am a dangerous woman.
While I spin my venom at your head.
Like a serpent, I wrap myself around you.
My shapely curves you do admire.
Watch out -- my lips are on fire.
I am a dangerous woman,
full of vim and vigor.
My tongue lashes out
at all, I can catch,
with a simple twist.
I am a dangerous woman.
Watch out -- Before I catch
you in my web of mist....

Blank verse
Weathering the Storm
there is a storm deep in me
skies turn dark within my mind
a raging tsunami begging to be free
clouds obscure the truth to find
tidal waves crashing forcibly
lightning strikes and i am blind
battering my body for all to see
thunder tramples my heart to grind
pain lashes out to ignore my plea
as winds howl and i am resigned
to my fate,
my life,
my time....

Birdman
Stoned in still water,
Osiris stares at me;
Wings sharp as shields,
Batter a subway overhead;
Somewhere a cadence
Floats like a blue rinse,
Your bird-eye catches a scent,
Chanel No.5,
Pokes it inside your brain,
A tongue lashes out,
Whips you stupid;
You fell for those plumes,
Had to have them,
Close-up,
An ultra-violet frenzy,
Claws into you -
Does it hurt?
Birdseed is not sniffed at,
On cold Bay days;
And oh Baby,
Could she sing!...

Defenseless
amidst these sullen skies
tiny drops stream down
pain lashes out
atop the muddied ground
she sinks within
unable to lift herself
she tumbles down
like autumn's leaves
memories piling up
buried in the past
as years blow by
she crumbles
in winded gasps
time winds down
her last breath drawn
the storm lifts
as darkness falls
she rests in the stillness

Freddy's Adventure In the Maze 3
The creature finally lashes out full of rage
I begin to run as the thing chases me
Knowing I am the one who let it out of it's cage
I try to figure out what to do as I flee
I grab my dagger as I turn right
I grip it tight fully ready
I turn around for the coming fight
As I yell, "Come to Freddy!"
I move quick dodging the beast
As I push fear far away
I stand there refusing to be the feast
So I rush without delay
It swipes and slash
As we both clash
To Be Continued......

Gran Market Night
Christmas eve night coming home
When grand marketing is done
Foot stepping high over stony loam
Heart panting for the merry fun
Suddenly the noise is not the same
The humming of figuring tongues
Changed to bush crackling with flame
The frantic scream of happy lungs
The scampering glee of feet, and there
The lurid lurch of masks, and fifes
Wooing me close to the bantering air
Of drums: jon kunno! A whip of strifes
Lashes out from the past, a sweet peel
Of laughter says hush, we are healed....

What Power We Speak
a sibilated soul swiftly flung from two lips embowed, intended to access the
essence of its recipient and grasp on so tightly that when it is recoiled , the
unsettled reviler removes a shred. Now inadequate and left immature, the undone
immortal lashes out with irrelevance of consequence. It recaptures what was once
lost, only now to find that it has gained a piece of its opposer, It is unconscious
of the effectiveness of its actions but even now whole again, the affliction
abides....
