Jonah

Three days and three nights in a fish
Is more sushi than one might wish
But God had a plan
That needed a man
To analeyes how fish tails swish

Jonah - Chapter 10, Verses 99, Holy Koran

If it had been your Lord’s will; then
All things on earth would have believed, all of them!
Will you then force the disbelievers
Until they become believers!

The World Is Unkind For Jonah

Too often, I find, you’ve fallen behind
Brightly, you shine, at end of the line
More passion than most
Intensely you boast
Embrace your design, in a world, unkind

At the computer sits Dickie McDuff
Searching a password that isn't too tough
    With a cocky demeanor
    He types in 'mywiener'
And the computer says "Not long enough!"

Expulsion

Through the front Mr. Jonah was swallowed.
In the sea monster’s belly he wallowed.
In the muck and the gas
unhygienic, alas,
was the back door expulsion that followed.

A Moment With Jonah

Lying flat on our backs
Parallel to the sky
Both completely relaxed
Lying flat on our backs
Naming clouds that go by
Just sweet Jonah and I
Lying flat on our backs
Parallel to the sky

Jonah - Chapter 10, Verses 66, Holy Koran

Listen! Allah is the Owner of all things
In the skies and the earth
Worshipping others as His partners has no good reason
They follow nothing but wild imagination
And they lie in old fashion.

Jonah - Chapter 10, Verses 100-101, Holy Koran

No one believes unless Allah wishes and
He casts dirt of doubt on those who don’t understand!

Say, Behold all that is in the skies and earth
But neither signs nor warnings benefit those who believe not!

Jonah - Chapter 10, Verses 107, Holy Koran

If Allah do any harm to you
No one else but Allah can remove it
If He wants to do some good to you
There’s none to keep back His favors a bit
He gives it to the servants of His liking
And He is the Most Forgiving Merciful Being.

Jonah and the whales

Jonah, praying in the great fish,
with putrid slime on red eyelids,
has the sudden faith
of near death -
sings on the beach,
fish-vomit in his beard.

Whale-songs drift,
doubts echo,
luring a pod to sand spits
where waves throw up bones.

When Jonah Awoke

When Jonah Awoke

Before going to sleep his feet he did soak;
Then Jonah decided he would tell a joke;
Could hardly believe,
Dream would receive;
Was swallowed by a whale when he awoke.

Woe to the city of blood,

FORGETTING JONAH

Nineveh suffers.
turn your back...don’t feel sorry.
how the mighty cry
in their evil-wicked ways.
mercy long, not forever…

Premium Member Jonah and the Whale

Jonah found himself in a most dreadful fix

He nearly had an encounter with the River Styx

He was freed by the whale's timely regurgitation

Thus easing its bellyache and Jonah's expiration!

Jonah - Chapter 10, Verses 5, Holy Koran

None but Allah has made the sun
Glowing brightness
And the moon dimly dazzling
And ordained for it mansions
To enable you to calculate the years and reckoning
Allah hasn’t created even a single a thing for nothing
Allah shows His signs for the people
Who want to know it all.

Jonah - Chapter 10, Verses 68-69, Holy Koran

They say, Allah has got a son!
Whereas He is the Most Sacrosanct
And the Self-Sufficient One.
Everything that is in the skies
And the earth belongs to God.
You have no proof to show!
Do you allege about Allah what you don’t know?

Say, whoever fabricates lies against Allah the Truthful
Will never ever be successful.

Jonah Lee

You are not wrong
So please don’t feel blue
But people, belittle
They’ll manipulate you

You are not wrong
Just because you’re unique
But people will judge
As they love to speak

You are not wrong
If you don’t fit the mold
Forget what they say
They’re naive and bold

You are not wrong
For just being you
You are one of a kind
And your heart is true

You are not wrong
Please don’t forget
Wherever you are
You’ll always fit

Curiosity Kills

Jonah was rashly curious
And it became injurious:
Unannounced slap and hard kick
And it earned him wounds to lick...

A crude one on his tummy
And an adult yelled "Mummy!"
The song in his ears "leave now
Or else you're a finished cow
Already, a bleeding brow
Some arrow to leave a bow

He'd seen they were robbing Jim
With screwed up eyes he'd made dim
Appearance of cops not slim
Like Gangs cup filled to the brim
Nothing now but " Run for it! "
But one could see The Not Fi
