Declaration of Independance
We'll just say I love you,
(though people say it's just puppy love,
though it never was between them and me,
but me and you)
and I know I always will,
but we are not "we" anymore,
so I will now sign this really big,
like ole John Hancock,
I will make it big,
so you won't have to squint your pretty eyes to read it,
so let me sign this declaration of independence,
saying it is no longer "we",
but the new "me", since again,
I'm on my own....
