Whitewash
It's not that we despise you,
the case of colour doesn't arise, you
being black doesn't matter...
It's just that the customer's idle chatter
insinuates the good name of our honest pub
will take the blame for your darker taint -
Don't get me wrong talc or face paint,
Would eradicate
misunderstanding....

Premium Member The Second Coming
Chartreuse moss insinuates itself
into cracked brick as leprous eucalyptus
line the path, fallen leaves contorted
into coral spines on weathered terra cotta.

Traveling between the trees I stumble
upon one sinewy stalk in a lithe tuft
heralding the second coming of a lily.

May's slate gray
muffles the air until I hear
the chameleon trill
of a mockingbird....

Saxophone
The cellar is his bleak repose,
in concert with the cockroaches and flies,
it's here he wipes his runny nose,
toils the day long, sunshine tries,

insinuates through rough and crumbled boards.
The colour of his skin constricts,
the bottom of the pile, his heritage affords
no more, the atmosphere restricts

his breath. It leans against the wall,
his tarnished, dusty saxophone,
a measure of the time when he stood tall,
cadenzas, and his free and strident tone....

Perversion By Ron Porter
Perversion.? ?Hidden deep inside
it roils and coils?; ?wrestles and writhes
screams,? ?gnashes,? ?gnaws and cries;
longing to tear the wings from flies

No volition to kill-? ?not the aim.
Rather,? ?to punish,? ?is the game.
Ignore deathblow,? ?purpose to maim;
in the wake,? ?leave broken and lame.

Pain persitent, ?it seeks to bring.
Perversion.! ?Lusts only to inflict suffering;
it insinuates to you?; ?it whispers to me
"make them hurt,? ?then you'll be free"....

To the Things That Go Lifeless, Cheers
(if this [you] were something--- anything with any sort of
value----- can't say something nice, don't say nothing at all.
[double negative] double trouble, take what you did, times it by
a million, & that's what you're paying for. i can't be sure that i'm
right, but i've always been positive that you're wrong; fact is
fictitious, make it up as you go. _____ accidents may happen,
but this continuance insinuates calculation / deliver me from
this hell)o mirror, what have you here?...

I and Me
Seeing, what others want us to see,
Invigorate ‘them’, by subduing our plea.
Tears inside, still continuing with a glee,
Temporal affiance, desisting us to be free.
If this is life then what are we?
Condign figurine, maneuver by thee.
Even if we wish to, cannot flee,
Hypocrisy insinuates a denouement spree.
This world! A forlorn tree,
Subtle roots, nix flowers to be.
Living in the jungle of heartless “HE”
Don’t snatch my heart, I prithee,
In the name of God, let me---------- be ME....
