Premium Member She Wolf Is Banished
Kind thoughts were hard to come by
After the she-wolves began comparing stories
Feeding off each other, exaggerating her infractions
By the time Grandmother Wolf entered the den
It was too late to refocus the she-wolves
They were stirred and frenzied
Ready to banish her from the pack...

Sand and Stone
All my real and exaggerated infractions
Over the years you meticulously engraved in stone
But your moral indiscretions against my soul
I recklessly and occasionally scribbled in the sand
The storms we weathered in our years of marriage
Kept erasing all your faults without a trace
But mine became more distinctly etched with time
Until there was no forgiveness left

Premium Member Too Late
Too long since we met, and now too late;
words, misplaced in anger, at some point
turned inwards into bitter silence.
Small infractions soon expand to chasms
in the sleepless, fetid, endless nights
of my self-righteous indignations.
All we had so quickly lost, and why?
You were dying; I could not forgive
that you could part and be so selfish.
Leave me to face this ungodly world
that you prepared me for and did not....

Premium Member Miss Pat and Her Rules
The list of infractions
caused many to bypass Miss Pat’s residence
Home for Glistening Seniors.

Many moved toward more lively establishments
That allowed fraternizing, drinking and dancing
All the things her home banned.

Miss Pat had dispensed with two rules
hoping to win them back.
Going to bed at seven
and waking up at four a.m.
She liked to serve breakfast at five.

Apparently it was not enough.
She was out of business in a short time....

Suffer the Children
Alive but dead
Here unseen
Crying out unheard
Bleeding uncut
From open wounds

You can't know
Problems don't exist
I am not here
Standing before you
Screaming with rage
At the pain shrouded

Damaged not scarred
Forever tainted
Open to all
Hiding from myself
To obscure the past

Transgressions not mine
Infractions to blame
Innocense lost
Aged years
No time passage
Who has lost

Time does not heal
Victims forever more
Suffer the children...
