grow before me

Too
late,
too late,
we panic,
in darkness we wait,
each doorway closing on the past-
un-noticed-windows of opportunities,so vast.
Lurking in shadows
The fading shadow
In darkness of my desire
Of the one I thought I was
Longing to be free
Melts into the mist
