stained from memories back

yet she soared so proud
acting impeccably clean
the purest of hearts
only the wings were seen

one day she stopped
to sip from a brook so fine
noticing her reflection
she died divine............

depth perception

with swollen thoughts
and powdered air

closed up shop
blinds fall still
enveloped musings

all this happens
in the midst of goodbye
my mind retreats
and you're still here....
