Unicorn Dreams
In the meadows of my dreams
I release the fantasies of my childhood
imbedded in my heart and soul,
a child of God, that I still am...

Forever
Forever

The Days are young
And the thoughts are evergreen
Imbedded within a body precious
Forever, we say for eons to come
Forever we are
For we are born Beautiful

smoothness
imbued with character
his essence
imbedded deeply
in every crevice
sweet oils

lubricating
its monotony
burnishing

Darkness
My life is in a dark room
No one to nurse or aid me
No one but the souls
Of miserable spirits
And hate from deep within
Imbedded in memories and thoughts
No one to hear my cries
Except darkness
My old friend
And to darkness I turn
For help...

We Became Temperamental
We Became Temperamental

At times, took it to be temperamental,
All about marijuana being monumental;
In head imbedded;
To Colorado headed;
Left on journey which was sentimental.

Jim Horn

Remember song, "Sentimental Journey?"

That might be a sign of your old age
like mine....

Premium Member The Smile of Monalisa
No artist can duplicate the smile of Monalisa
It's a great art piece
However a smile like that of Monalisa
Has long been imbedded in a lover's heart
Not less precious than that of Monalisa as
Love can create
Love can duplicate
Love can surpass
Love can be unique
Love can be eternal...

I, Too, Am Not Perfect
I, too, am not perfect
For I am truly in love
With a man I can never have
Yet I still rise above

all the heartache

It is imbedded
For fifteen years or more
I've come to terms
He only wants me to store

all the heartache

I can do this
For I am what I was taught
Years of abuse then silence
My heart will never rot

in all the heartache...

From the ancestors
Generations to generations
Lives carry on like new sprouts
And flourishing like a jungle
Newborns are our hope
Nowadays newborns are totally different
Imbedded in an aircond surrounding
With love and care
A lot of toys
A lot of playmates
Hyperactive, alert and wise
Will carry on the family tree
And our mission
A mission of love of course...

Premium Member Behind Smiled
Under a grin, redirected,
A sniff of grief claws
Through, revealing
A sad blue artery,
A pain 24-7.
Underscored with carefully
Emoted verbs,
And adjectives imbedded with
Mock sincerity,
A simple sentence: a right to be honest.
Beneath the pulse in heartbeats encephalo
A few tearful regrets
Lob empty phrases into
A field with no guilt, washed and dried,
And returned unlabeled....

A flattened rose mumbles
An old cracked button chuckles
Tickled by a 2nd place ribbon
In the corner a tattered doll weeps
Comically consoled by a one-eyed bear
Ballet slippers long for a pointed toe
A dried corsage sits inside a dusty tiara
A leather-bound diploma shouts success
A tear stained letter sorrow

For joy and sadness are but fleeting moments
Imbedded in the soul of ephemera

And the Poet Smiles
within the whisper
of yesterday and now
of anticipation
of a dream
words are imbedded
deeply carved
in the heart of a
poet
the words become his
children
to lavish praise
and teach them where
to go
and grow
the poet challenges
the words
as if they were
colors of his heart
and soul
bequeathing to them
the spirit of
interlocking freedom

he has done his best
and that makes him
smile...

Memory Walks
I took them for a walk today, down pathways where they used to play.
The trees and rocks, the grassy lawns, each stop and start as we moved on:
Now so imbedded in my mind; I’d see it still if I were blind.

I took them for a walk today and spilled some tears along the way,
But never saw it to its end, never turned that final bend . .
For sadness overcame my time . . those walks now only in my mind....

Inexhaustible Love
I succumb to love’s demand
To be inexhaustible like desert sand
Fathomless like deep oceans
Soothing like the moonlit night

Sacred like a holy book
Unalterable like faith
Imbedded in heart like virtues
That unselfishness ignite.

My love is beyond my own self
Not counting loss and gain
My love crosses the bonds of
Religion, color and creed.

My loving thee O mankind!
Enhances my love of God....

Panic
My heart beat hastens,
like a herd of butterflies taking flight,
stampeding my stomach.

Unable to explain the need,
burning like a flame,
consuming all thought,
deep desire, a soul on fire.

The compulsion exists.
I can't resist.
Must continue, persevere.
A change of venue,
gotta run, escape,
evade this unknown beast.

Hanging on by a yarn,
imbedded fingers on a cliff,
below, a never ending abyss....

Heartstones
Here, in this secret place, lie the treasures,
imbedded in the labyrinths of the heart.
Like precious gems awaiting the polishing stone,
they await the joy of recovery,
and each glittering moment in the light.
Cut and polished to perfection,
they adorn our golden necklace of memories,
arrayed in harmony and strung in chains of love.
Here in this secret place,
where none but the mason
can realise true value.
They are,
Heartstones....

Character
To have it all, and lack Character is bad,
a fun personality is good, but missing
Character is sad.
This is what makes you who you are,
a true star burning so bright,
or one that leaves orbit in the night.
That lasting matter of your very soul,
imbedded deep inside,
your legacy of goodness, for all that know.
You can't buy it, you can't teach it,
it is something born within,
and only you can reach it, but all can see it....

Like Attracts Like
you are born human into a physical body
        imbedded and surrounded
by infinite and complex
       energy structures

held together by the
        toroidal flow
                of electromagnetism
designed by the universe for your learning

use it to continually attract and express
      the best versions of yourself
become a magnetic personality
       that uplifts others

remember!
      like attracts like...

The Poems Face
I am drizzled from thoughts that the heart footholds
With words of wisdom which are pure as gold

And as I form into an underlying phrase
Every sentence takes it’s own place

With rhymes of words dancing on the page
Every formation is imbedded to the base

With librettos of connotation revolutionising the trace
The vivacity of the ode slowly gets into shape

And once the ode is born with complete faith
The poem is made and that’s the face

With Wisdom...
I will not fight thee
with swords

I will not fight thee
with pistols

I will though challenge
with my deep imbedded
passion

you will not defeat me

with your violence

Tis my words of wisdom
that will lead you beyond
in deafening silence...

whence your spirit
may return a voice of reason...

...a spirit of love for all
seasons...

the world may listen
once more to your
heart...

your words fall on deaf
ears until then...

we hear you not
near or far...

Simulacrum
Sifting through the faint pages of the memory
Imbedded in dreams long buried and forgotten;
Muted voice of a young boy comes back to stay,
Unfurling from the deepest corner of the brain;
Latent images of a once carefree, innocent youth
Almost faded now yet, vaguely remembered still;
Clouded by the passage of the unforgiving years,
Returning but once again to where I was back then;
Undoing the dents wrought by the passing time, I
Meet the present and promptly end the dreaming....

Shaft of Light- For Contest
Black clouds ever surrounding me
But look, a bright ray of light I see

From where does this light appear
Has it come from far or from near

A million thoughts enter my mind
A sign from above, that I’m behind

Quick explanations though, never pass
Nor do a thousand, I have grown crass

About this shaft of light what can be told
I don’t know now, maybe when I am old

Desire to know, imbedded since our youth
Philosophy teaches there really is no truth
