Perfection….
you illusive itinerant
a driver on a par three hole
aching to outdistance
everyone

The mask…hiding behind it
Illusive she deceives all
I still find her attractive
Though she hides behind…
The mask
Russell Sivey
Listen to poem:
time
incessant
yet so illusive
on and on
we chase it
sand though
our fingers

Happiness races like the cheerful deer
Can’t be kept forever in the inept frame
Drifts always like illusive mirage farther
Can’t be reached for the thirst to tame.
All words
Assume to map
The unknown territory..
Careful observers of
Illusive appearances..
It's what dreams are
Made on..to borrow
Some words...
Slowly through the curtains
Night turns to day;
Illusive shadowed pictures
Evaporate and die;
Within inner images array
Captured--locked forever
In imagination,stay.
Slowly through the curtains
Night turns to day;
Illusive shadowed pictures
Evaporate and die;
Within inner images array
Captured--locked forever
In imagination,stay.
brotherhood of man living in harmony ~ why can't it be?

Too big to absorb
Montana at hand
Its distance won’t focus
Montana at hand
Two eyes not enough
Montana at hand
Forever illusive
—Montana at hand
(Dreamsleep: May, 2023)
Echoes, thoughts thrown off-course
illusive as in "vision blurring"...
ennui, with nothing to reinforce
imagery. Silence disturbed by purring,
odd admixture of buzzing and whirring.
Lythe
Salvations droplets
My Elder Sisters Coven
Craven images devout plights
Nestled as high
Illusive runts
"I want you to diffuse
Christ's ******** Kevin"
Stain them
In the
Spontaneity
Of life and death
Separation's
Beauty appears as
Illusive time and space..
This may seem
A resurrection story
Spontaneously
Expressing...
because she can
means she cant
in the illusive sun
truth is a basic conflict
open the need
give me the chance
to stop you howler
a change will do you good
in the full moon
Whisper…
The silken touch
Of a lover’s soft hand.
Gentle as falling rose petals,
Liquid as a satin stream of water
Caressing the warm waiting earth.
A light illusive touch,
Tender as a
Whisper.
Soft and feathery and illusive
Each word a woven world of fantasy
An artistic lair for the lunacy of emotion
Musical, distant and serene
Aesthetic shelters like seashells
Cast by the angst of the ocean
a howl woke me
startled, I listened….
nothing
What was that?
Werewolf?
Pack of wild dogs?
Lone wolf?
Fright filled the room
I felt threatened
Sleep was illusive
I had no idea
The howl came from me
Thought pictures,a whispered voice, ideas fly free on unfettered wings of forgotten will, drift to the surreal, an illusive pastime of creativity in reflections of afterthoughts of yesterdays in tomorrow's imagination
On the battlefield
in the midst of illusive chaos
weapons with no weight
are thrown around
causes are destroyed
people drop for empty pride
and those very moments
before one passes on
they ask
"What justice?"
I’m
really
desperate
to please my heart
than anyone else;
I seem appear so near
but you are too blind to see
what my eyes can not tell, so I
now sleep in your illusive kisses-
for this pulsating mind o’ mine to rest.
Ever illusive
a constant reminder.
I long for more
begging it to stop.
Looking forward to tomorrow
longing for yesterday.
Hurry up and wait
I want to lay the hour glass on it's side,
ticking, tocking.
Less time,
timeless.
Form:
Behind who too wonderfully
Makes it sound just to live
Whilst be-dazzlingly led on
By illusions, illusive
Fail not I to hear, chuckling;
Nor with Death falter less
Laughing with! Wakes, shakes up
Mundane short-sightedness.
this sun
is illusive
like mind
in thoughts
of you
and love
i stand naked
beneath unborn
memories
shadowless
alone
clouds above
aglow
in prismatic
tears
waiting
to give birth
to this emptiness
that swells
in my eyes
From the moment we shook hands
By subtle vibes I’d been eclipsed
Distinct your voice ever so grand
From the moment we shook hands
Upon your palms illusive strands
Blending with such beckoning lips
From the moment we shook hands
By subtle vibes I’d been eclipsed
Where are you today
My Illusive Butterfly
Fluttering around
Among beautiful flowers
Amid fluffy billowy clouds
Or perched on a
Dainty stem of primrose
Or a nearby limb
Of a mighty Oak
Looking out at the world
Through the multi eyes of
My Illusive Butterfly
how quickly the days of our lives
scamper in their haste
racing in a sprint to scurry
across illusive finish lines
