awakened from too much snorin

setting out on a lark

he sent all the birds a soarin.

she 'll purge herself of her Ill
soon the earth will heal

you can't change a thing
there may not be a new spring
earth one day will sing...

Premium Member reminds me of the seventies
Psychedelic bedroom reminds me of my hippie days
I revel in the glow of the black light; it was so chic then
Not super popular now, but exciting to this old hippie
Reminds me of my youth, seventies, hip hugger bellbottoms
How can you sleep in here? Asks other adults.
How could you not? I reply....

Ramblings of a Confused Tree Hugger Part 4
Its another day
just like every other day
not a lot to say

winter snow is on the ground
wind is blowing all around
the trees sleeping sound

There leaves are missing
there is no time for fishing
spring is worth wishing

new life will emerge
years of memories are purged
soon the seasons merge...

Ramblings of a Confused Tree Hugger Part 9
The dream in my head would not go away
The thoughts of hunting season
 invaded my head
what if hunters got you
I could just see someone
making a hat with your fur
like Daniel Boon
or one of those early pioneers
It was just the other day
I herd the dogs
yesterday I went out in the snow looking
for you
I herd some shots
I fear the worse...

Ramblings of a Confused Tree Hugger Part 8
God we continue always
it is our way
The way we take
each day
the way we pray
the way we say
I love you
with our heart

Yes God we continue always
there is no other way
but to die
and to say Why?
surly that would make us cry

so we continue
its what we do
like we have always done
since time has begun
we never run
away from God
or do we?...

Premium Member love begets love
Sherrie was loved, felt it every minute
Her mother was a cuddler, a hugger,
She had a good heart, and was kind
She never wanted to grow up

But she did grow up, and became a terrific mother
Hugging and loving her own children
Swaddling them from the world for a time,
Showing them they were blessed and loved.

And her children did the same with their children
Love begets love...

Premium Member Toad Hugs a Tree
What is toad doing? We asked each other.
No one knew, not grandpa, uncle or brother.
I think he thinks he is a tree hugger I dared suggest.
Toad with a far away look was hugging a mushroom to his chest.

Are we going to tell him he missed a tree by a mile?
Asked our Aunt Maghetti, who had a maniacal smile.
Let’s let him do what he is doing, and pretend it is a tree.
Suggested several cousins, including me....

Tree Hugger
I'm getting sick of tree huggers
always hugging trees
this kinda dumb
seems pretty stupid to me
i said trees aren't meant to be hugged dude
he just turned and said screw you
and then he said you're just jealous because we're getting married.
so i went over there and punched him in the eye
and then i set the tree on fire then it died
and i walked away as he cried that was the end of the tree hugger's life....

Ramblings of a Confused Tree Hugger Part 6
The snow
its falling hard now
I can hardly see out
My electric gonna be through the roof
and all I can do is wait
maybe Ill work on my writing
 a few Haiku's and some
other stuff
not sure what to do
but sit and wait,
Its the Damn waiting
waiting I HATE IT !!!
just so you know
The dog got your rotisserie chicken
i left for you
if you can read my thoughts
I'll leave another one out to night
 for you...

Ramblings of a Confused Tree Hugger Part 7
I got up early
to look for you
the wind was blowing
as it usually does
in the morning
by the clearing
I thought I found your tracks
but the snow quickly covered them
when you walk through winter woods
there is a silence
like death that surounds you
like a blanket
covering you up.
I walked for about an hour
with no luck
my ears hurt
my feet are cold
I think I'll have some coffee
when I get home
and take a hot bath...

Ramblings of a Confused Tree Hugger Part 11
I walked to work to day
it was snowing hard
I walked the road this time
hoping to find you
I was thinking
 your carcass would be
laying there
on the side of the road
vulture food
food for the worms and maggots
I walked all the way to work
in the snow
I could hardly see
so maybe I missed you
I stopped by the store
bought another bottle
bought the Trader too
I was thinking I would build something
for you
to live in when you came back....

Premium Member I Am An Egg Sunny Side Up
I am the ocean, wet and mysterious
Mercurial, flexible, changeable, a chameleon
People cannot outguess me
My imagination follows a jet stream

I am a kaleidescope of colors,
orange, red, green, yellow, blue, violet, indigo
You cannot catch me; I am invincible and confident
I can barely keep up with myself

I am a tree hugger, a child lover
I am a cartoonist, painter, poet, story teller
I am hopeful and optimistic
I am an egg, sunny side up....

Ramblings of a Confused Tree Hugger Part 12
when I got to work today
the lock was frozen
 I struggle,Finally
I got the door unlocked
then It dawned on me
I haven't seen anyone
or talked to anyone
for two weeks now
wait maybe 3?
let me see
last person I talked to
was Dr Auston
she stopped by the lab
now I remember
i really need to call some one
maybe tonight when I get home
I see someone has left a cat in here
I hate cats
damn
I can't keep my mind of him
I wonder where he's at...

Premium Member The Tree Hugger
Yes, I am a tree hugger And I do so love the trees. Trees give us negative ions; Oxygen to breathe. Lovely wooden sentinels; Our siblings are the trees. Though they have no legs to walk They move within the breeze. The trees see many curious things; Perhaps hear even more. They’ll share their secrets if It’s what you ask them for. Listen with your soul to leaves within the wind. You’ll be back to hear more, again and again.

Premium Member I Am One With My Forest
nature created me, defines me, emboldens me, holds me.
I am one with the stars, the oaks, the meadow and butterflies.
a tree hugger, a naturalist, I am uplifted by the outdoors.
a female Thoreau, I live in the woods gladly, feeling spirit.

surrounded by fox, squirrel, deer, raccoon, and muskrat,
I have found turtles, snakes, lizards, and ducks in Kansas
cardinals, blue jays, wrens and woodpeckers surround me.
mystical orbs are photographed by me around my dragonflies....

Gluttony Takes No Prisoners
Gluttony takes no prisoners,
And leaves nothing behind to grow,
Except the need for more.

Gluttony unchecked will end our planets usefulness,
But not our usefulness,
In helping Gluttony get to more and more planets.

More, more, more, and ever more,
Is Gluttony's call to all but the wiry,
And the spendthrift,
The non-alcoholic,
And the tree Hugger,
The Hermit,
And the one actually on a diet.

But is six enough,
To reverse the damage,
From decades of overindulgence?...

Lone Bailey
Lone Bailey was a tree hugger since the age of three
Resilient limpet, he clung on ferociously
Now labelled and rejected as a permanent pest
Bailey went his own sweet way avoiding all the rest
His favourite haunts were abandoned places and trees
Scrambling barefoot up them or on his hands and knees
To carving his initials in perpetuity
He beheld grotesque images no-one else could see

Menacingly taunting him to COME HERE AND HUG ME.
