White clouds in blue sky
Morning opens its green door
Time smiles in your eye

It's high time we, humans, learn the valuable lessons,
of taking care of our Earth, before the situation worsens!!
.
Sandcastle _ moat filled
Safety security sound
Quick summer shower
Eternal wisdom
wound into the very threads
of Life's tapestry.
No human flame can burn a-
way this underlying truth.
Piercing through the stone
Bright rays of hope liberate
The dismal boulders
For Raul Moreno's 'Guiding Light' contest
shoo, grasshopper green!
glide to verdant vales unseen..
let my green grass preen!
Treasury in the silk of a pettal-
an April's flower born again,
whispers a tune that settles
the world as a free spirit from sin.
hmm, dance, fruitflies, dance
jackfruit's sweetest sweet fragrance
Lingating's romance !
vulture's ill design
parched lips begging for a sign
camels break skyline
my gold in sun’s morn
my silver in blackest night...
gold-silver, my light

The Haiku Master
waited at the twilight hour
It dawned on him
Floribunda rose
Awakens to spill it's scent
Midsummer night dream
The sunflower brightens up the garden
With a tint of yellow, orange, and red...gracious like fire
Benevolence blocks out the moon again
Starlight
by Amy Swanson, 12/2008
Starlight, silver white
Twinkles in the winter sky
Holding my heart's wish
cold feet long for spring. . .
ice cycles fall stabbing snow
where asters will bloom
For Carol Brown's haiku contest "Waiting for Spring"
Shooting stars streak through
The sky like God sprinkling seeds
Into the nights soil

moonlight glows
over still grass
flowers close
Setting Sun
by Amy Swanson, 2008
Golden red sunset
Mysterious soft brilliance
Nightfall's wonder.
Passing shower, passionate
to arid land,
short-lived desert flowers
from magic wand.
monsoon clouds hover
over my burdens and pains
wafting breeze lilts..."fly!"
fly to your destiny -
sprinkled hopes came with the rain

Large yellow-orange
blooms, falls last foliage appears
reminding me-hope.
Pray for harvest
of the late bloomers fruit and
harvest in spring time.
flotsam, jetsam days
unafraid of ocean's sprays
crabs sidle sideways
I opened my window
as wide as wide could be
and welcomed in the sunshine.
Spring finally upon us,
it filled my lungs with hope.

~March sprays his icy musk
robin hunches in her feather hut...
but fireflies will soon greet us
with tiny pale green stars at dusk...
Just not soon enough~
flowers sigh and sing
fireflies and wasps in spring
time to soothe or sting

Gourds turning from green
To Desert Tan hang from vines_
