ice cycles fall stabbing snow
where asters will bloom

Already you are longing for spring, Connie. Those asters will not be put off, and right on time they will sprout, a show of resilience. ~ Warm regards // paul

I really liked the images that your 2nd line evokes--much like tilling the soil for the flowers to emerge--beautiful take on waiting for spring :) Wish you the best in the contest :)

Great image of the "ice cycles" stabbing the snow where spring blooms will soon appear. Awesome haiku, Connie! Love, Carolyn

Beautiful Haiku that should do well in the contest. Good luck. I especially like the second line. Keep the creative pen flowing. Sara
