I am mystified
confused
saddened
by the breakdown of our country
it did not happen gradually
rather all at once
if we had seen a TV show about it
we would have died laughing
Because it would have been hilariously implausible
Civil War and unrest prances in my mind now
One hundred and twenty thousand dead Americans
and their families are not laughing
Speedster ranks fully stocked
The Barmy Army's flocked
Baz Ball glock fully cocked
BUT

Tell still reeling from feeling shell shocked

here we are in a spinning glove
passing gas in the name of love
on a lazy day happily doing nothing
exchanging humorous kisses and hilariously strategic touching
it is all the Beautiful Result of God Above
passing gas in the name of love
spaghetti and meatballs and taco salad high
even higher we fly via glazed apple pies
the organic soymilk washes it all down with a gentle shove
So Damn Happy We Are While Passing Gas In The Name Of Love
words jump out of my mind in spits and spurts
Flinging themselves onto a page in scribbles and squirts
their determination is admirable, their resilience insane
these words are often clever, other times barely inane
I blame Trixie my muse, she stands firmly on my heart.
Sometimes she is hilariously funny, other times a sarcastic tart.
I never know what these words will do. They have minds of their own.
I am always amazed when they make any kind of poem.
