Premium Member Fifty Thousand Cells You Are Wrong
Fifty thousand cells? You’re wrong!
No. It’s true, their leader said.
We’re set in jelly, thick and long.
Flagella’s push us through water.

We’re fifty thousand strong.
You look like green algae and dead!
Volvox laughed in a happy song.
Amusing my wiser daughter....

Premium Member Catfish Are Jumpin'
'Yond the fields
      of golden whey
 A mountains- grown
      in grayish clay
Near it's 'neath
      a river flows
On bedded rocks
      green algae grows
 Catfish' treats-
      a tasty bite
They eat, they jump
      into the night
When morning's sun
      begins to rise
They jump again
      to catch 'em flies...

Premium Member Sorry

I am sorry.
The blue and white teapot
that was stained with green algae
and had a broken spout
and was sitting on a terracotta tile
in our garden and had, for years,
gestated life in its plump belly
of brewed rainwater,
is now in pieces, smashed
by a clumsy blow
from my rake.

It has left a hole
in the world
that I have tried,
but cannot fill.

River Stones
they live now
in layers of motion and stillness

a fret sawing wind
a chaffing river
have shaped them

limbless bodies
turned upon
a lathe of time

glints of starlight are in them
eyes blinded by too much
of light
or dark

blue veins leach from granite pores
synapse
with bloods tingling clamor
with fingerprints

a molten world
drips green algae
upheavals whisper
from an unending past

a stone thrown back
finding a voice
in an uttering splash...

Your Eyes I Remember
I recalled your eyes clear and transparent
Somehow liked pool water surging in the sun
Dark green algae rising with the sunshine
Playing hide and seek with the little shrimps

I saw your eyes again many years later
The years made them no longer transparent
Colorful lights broke their calm time to time
The illusionary images looked to be so unsure

I doubt this is the scenery people pursue?
Using dust of life to darken the transparency
And so-called knowledge to prevent sincere?...
