when the boys came out to play

instead of straight man disorganized and sloppy.

I strive to write one poem a day
To keep my wheels turning and gay
Out if time
Must find rhyme
Before I have to hit the hay
There once was a girl named Gay
Who'd really mean what she'd say
She'd spend every day
Just working away
With nary an hour to play
In the year 1970
dawn of a new day ~
"To be gay is OK"
In 2020, is it too late
to proudly state
"It's great to be straight"

Larry, oh poor, miserable Larry,
there is nothing wrong being gay;
but was it worth pursuing ecstasy
inside a public men's lavatory?
Form:
I feel at a total loss today
Simply because of the dreary day
Maybe tomorrow will be a brighter day
And make me feel so happy and gay!
Lovey-dovey, honey puff!
You're a hero, if your wife
Thinks of these words
When they say
Of her husband
And you're not gay.
Who's to say what's quite the norm
Love is love despite the form
Whether bi or straight or gay
Love who you want and who you may
The Queen of Day in cool array
Dances her gay dewdrop ballet
Her morning rays light up the skies
She lifts the Lord of Night’s disguise.
There are so many reasons to be happy
to be joyful, jubilant and gay…
May you be blessed to discover
at least one of those reasons today

GAY LIFE
OK there was a lawyer from Kent
Who was known for been bent
He’d take a bride
And would not hide
The money made him feel gay as he spent.
He was a fop, a fool, a popinjay
Man-about-town, too cute and gay
A fashion plate, a cavalier blade
His arrogance riveled an oak’s tree shade
A lady I know is quite busty
A size which doth make men grow lusty
Her cleavage display
Emboldens the gay
No worries they'll ever get dusty!
The tulip is a delicate flower
Her delicious fragrance is a delight.
Nurtured by sun for many an hour,
Thriving in this beautiful gay sunlight.
The whistling winds blow
Stroking tender dancing leaves
The chains of copper oak,
Gently sways in heighten gay
And creates a jovial summer.
