Premium Member Snowbound Pondering

White snow, furiously freely falling, carpeting the hued ground;
A freezing allegory of racism and xenophobia that’s still around:-

blades of windmill spinning furiously

rain slams down, breaking stalks
no mercy

Premium Member God Weaves a Tapestry

Some days, God weaves a tapestry,
Life's circumstances furiously knitting.
Other days, leaving things to ourselves,
She does needlepoint, while sitting.

Clouds Dark

Sky murky
A biting wind blows furiously
Swirling about ghostly
Whistling against the extremity
As dark clouds show
With drifts through
Begin to form anew
Ensuing cloudburst view

Carlos At Woodstock

Watch this Hispanic street punk
Furiously drive home his prayer
Frowning and sweating Latin funk
While the blond hippie shakes down her hair...

Premium Member Young Love

In deafening silence

I wait for my big date

It doesn't seem fair

to have butterflies floating furiously

within my stomach

and scattered thoughts floating

abruptly in my head

Premium Member Formidable Floundering Frisky Fish

Formidable floundering frisky fish followed furiously,
Flogging fourteen flustered freshman froggies
Furious followers filed fine-tuning finesse
Frostily furthering fruitless froggy fortitude.

Premium Member Mindless Chatter

Furiously the flurries fly. Attached to wall, me on phone.
My Dad makes tracks, and I wonder at the dashing of snow that cools
Mindless chatter. Aspiring flames leap from chimney, as wind moans.

The Carafe

The carafe

Bought a bottle
Of red wine.
It looks at me
I look at it.
Furiously.
It is empty now
threw it in the bin.
Who wants to?
Look at an empty
bottle
If you are not
a collector of labels

Like kids out too late
Desperate to enjoy each moment

In winter when their river is
Frozen into cold limbo

Truant

grey morning, ten o’clock,
school gates closed
with all the pupils inside –
less than a mile away
empty park, empty playground,
except for a teenage boy
sitting on a swing,
rocking furiously to and fro

Premium Member We Got a Puppy

New Pup

We have her now

Darling, cute and funny

Uh-oh. Look who is not happy

Cat hissed furiously at both of us

Swatted new puppy on the nose

But puppy keeps playing

A Record of a Secret Document

A record of a secret document
Embedded in my memory
Threatening to open
My feelings to the world
And I will keep it clandestine
Waiting for you to furiously
Copy down, word for word
The essence of my emotions

Premium Member Witch of Winter

Judging our tensile strength

As she furiously reams

Nibbling away at our armor

Undeterred by wishes or dreams

Alternately pushing and pulling

Rending our world with her blast

Yanking us apart at the seams

At Dawn

The dawn broke
with thoughts
raging furiously
insisting on response
capturing my being
now a prisoner
with no escape route
an accessory before and after the fact
plead I for freedom to engage the heart
on its destined course.

Story Headline

I knew better
- a headline taught me
I hated intensely
- a headline enticed me
I clicked furiously
- a headline led me
I argued vigorously
- a headline fed me
I grew superior
- a headline lifted me.
The story?
Oh, too boring.

Wired Wrong

Head hurts horrendously
Thundered thoughts throb
Manic mind melts
Bizarre brainwaves beckoning
Whatever wanders wayward
Furiously fueling falsehoods
Deepening demented delusions

Think About It

Pure, clear with direction

the stream flows on down it
goes

tributes comes come in

big it becomes

dirty and un pure

it’s innocence lost

its direction distorted

furiously pounding anything
along the way

all it’s goodness gone

Am I it ??

Soul Mate

Without a word She slips into my soul at night Embraced for an eternity Her body oozing in delight With an uncontrollable rhythm To the pounding of my heart Her body shakes furiously Until our embrace does finally part
