His pedigree
was his degree
Rhodes scholar selection
Yet once in the fray
he was easy prey ~
Mettle, reality assayed
From his cocoon
overlooking the fray
the poet strikes
his keyboard
triumphantly
Truth ablaze
I'm happy to spend my day
away from the political fray
Innocents wade into that water
~ like lambs led to slaughter
scottie mcperson yesterday
into a tavern seeks a fray
carrying a log
he finds in a bog
instead he meets heather macrae.
From smoke to ash and ash to snow,
I see you drift,
Flicker,
Glow.
Grow,
Flutter,
I feel you fray,
From spark to fire and fire to clay.
Soon we all must enter the fray
And keep this injustice at bay
Thus said the major
Who tripped on the floor
Thus ending the war for that day
Still night / tall trees dance
Half moon / mild wind blows
Loud day / gloom minds fray
Spring bloom / dense bough glows
June 6, 2023.
Tis so sweet to slip the bonds of Earth
to race on back of foam and spray,
to glide in stride on crafted board,
to run out the bestial fray!
On my way to the dearest first love of my life today.
After a single dark day, I finally feel okay.
On my way to lay alongside him without feeling any fray.
Standard bearer,
above the fray
Others follow,
trackless fields
Trailing echo’s,
dead and gone
Then tomorrow
—tomorrow then
(Villanova Pennsylvania: August, 2020)
A tussle
A fray
A skirmish
A soiree
A fracas
A fight
A scuffle
A blight
A scrap
A brawl
A melee
A free for all
A quarrel
A clash
A donnybrook
A birthday bash
Pay, by the way
Is strictly passe
Be above the fray
Don't bray
Horses eat hay
Their job is to run while others
Sit on their backs for play
Imagine their day
Form:
The Young,
Though still green,
Are ever sweet;
With good hope in morrow,
They bounce.
The old,
Though now fray,
Still can be sweet;
With replay of old tune,
They dance.
The cavalry charged, leading the way
The infantry advanced, joining the fray
As for me, I was up to a little deviltry
Donned my goggles ~ battled virtual reality
Forget me not, I still love you
Forgive me for all you've been through
Forgo the wrath and all it leads to
Fray and fear will frustrate you
But all shall end in faith and fortitude.
Looking back past this blink in time....
Finding his innocent child; had we known
How to save a life I lost a friend, somewhere
Along the way amid life's bitterness silently gazing
Purity's eyes
Form:
When I woke up this bright and sunshiny day
Had no plans to be awesome but what can I say
Some of us were made
To lead the parade
While others follow closely into the fray (SMILE)
Sterling tribute to spent fray
Universal trek around milky way
Nexus of night and day
Solar sparks igniting passion play
Enchanting fluorescent light display
Twilight's silver streams night betray
Dragon-fly!
Dragon-fly;
Why are you chained
To the dungeon walls
And why you wail
In monstrous bays.
There is no one in fray
See my charm
My mind the computer CRAY
Generated to shelf you away.
In whispers loud, the party's fray
Biden's heart beats, leading astray
A pardon’s grace
Biden’s choice, a daring face
A whispered "screw you," echoes loud
As Dem party ties unravel, proud

No need to be good
when chasing the great
The moral imperative
deludes and conflates
With blinders on horses
we ride through the fray
Our eyes on tomorrow
— in search of today
(Dreamsleep: May, 2024)
Goodbye Joe!
Now the real job to cope
Is restoring hope
Where truths entwine
A legacy of choices, bitter vine
Sift through Joe Biden crime
And mend the fray
For a future
And brighter day

just take it away
all that i have to say
just take it away
this game i play
just take it away
how we choose to fray
just take it away
pain i feel everyday
just take it away
i beg of you to stay
JUST TAKE IT AWAY
Form:
Write than-bauk day
Mind can't stray, starts
To fray, screams no!
Needs to go rest
Let flow tension
Retention leave
Do not cleave please
Like bees' stinger
