Tasting Bliss

I knew it from our very first kiss.
It was one worth savoring,
with true love unwavering,
and was certainly flavoring
such an euphoric taste of bliss.

Premium Member Rum Pound Cake

Her first mistake
while baking cakes
was flavoring one with rum

Her headache pounds
and she found
some crumbs
around her chin

The cake is done
but she wonders now
why all the rum is gone

Irrefutable Truths In Life

It's the bee,
      not the sugar
      who discern the complete
      dimension of sweetness...
It's the sea, not the salt who
      is proficient in flavoring life...
      It's love, not hate,
      only love is qualified
      to drive eternal
      and divine life...!

Lest Sink In Darkness

Lest sink in
Darkness!

Grind my smiles
Which, remained
Hidden in your letters and
Trapping in poems

Make it a soup
Flavoring in clamminess dawn,
Roses shame, and
April breeze, that restless
 In spikes

Lest sink in,
Darkness!

Present it to you
Moons, light up your night's lip
And become lighted

Premium Member Magical May Meadowland

Flowers flourish flavoring the field,
wild waifs that wave and whirl and whip
beneath the wind's wanton waltzing ways.
Bucolic bees buzz blooms and sip
sweet sage, sacramental savorings.
A halcyon habitat, a happy home,
for blessing birds and bees and blossoms,
majestic, magical May meadowland, my own.

Cherries

In Michigan, we have cherries.
Flavoring our whole state.
Tart juice that drips into everything.
So we add sugar.
Cherry trees nod as we drive by.
To the cherry festival.
I bring a tote bag to catch the cherry candy.
I try to pretend they are healthy.
Sure, they may have been made in a factory…
But the label says “Made in Michigan.”
Which takes my guilt away.

Premium Member waiting in a hotel lobby

I am sitting in a hotel lobby in a small town south of Des Moines
That means Iowa for those of you who did not know
I am drinking coffee with French Vanilla flavoring and sweetener
Waiting for my twin sister, listening to loud country western music
I would not mind the music if it was on a proper volume
It is weirdly loud and proud for six a.m.
as if it thinks it is better than rock and roll or bluegrass
my nerves are screaming

Many Women Passed

Many Women passed before thy face,
but they haven't read it.
countless women, passed through,
they never left on your chest shades but the Ah
Nor with flavoring love, flavored joyful lips.

Many women Passed vainglorious on your wounds,
Walked without paying attention,
planting your evening with fires and absent.

 ... My fate, I passed and read,and
Ah I wished, I wished I didn't.
Neither I put down what they burned,
Nor as what they did, I did.
