The rafters creak
The Fire alarm is delirious
Its 4 AM
all is in a frieze
Intrigued by the night
I unpetal
The Night people dine in-between
Top hats appear
Bell drawn dazzles
You stole my castle
I need to graduate from this dawn

There’s a tugging in my chest
It leads me straight to you
Bubbling, broiling love and luck
Of pink and golden hue
A kind and sweethearted soul
Deserves the world anew
And when she talks, my heart goes light
And face burns red for you
Sweetheart, sweetheart, hug me close
Pull me tight to you
My little blue jay, birdie, love
Fire alarm, love me too

I met Queen Jane
while laying out buckets of rain.
In Spain,
South of Heaven and West of Hell
I sit in this seashell,
thinking of life
without the pain of a knife.
I was drunk,
on Maggie's Farm
I heard that ringing fire alarm
in my head.
People were singing songs of the dead.
Let the Illuminati
take my body
to the ground.
My life has the same old sound.

Representative Jamaal Bowman sets off a fire alarm in the House Chamber
rips down the 'Emergency' signs
heads for the hills
Doesn't apologize 'til the police nab him ... then AOC whines
'Jamaal was confused'
A clearcut case of 'white privilege' turned on its head
Even KINDERGARTENERS know not to pull an alarm that's red!
Perhaps Jamaal never attended elementary school
While AOC thinks she can play us all for fools

One dark night the fire alarm was screeching,
Stuffed bag dragging and the cat meowing;
A purse hanging off my neck,
Oh, I sure looked like a wreck;
In the parking lot people were staring!
