Was it a car or a cat I saw
Why does the witness hem and then haw
Euston saw I was not Sue
With his eyeglasses brand new
But his lawyer was bad at case law
Of all the words in the English language
"should'a" is the most useless one
And I know it's a sin
but I'm gonna give in
I'm gonna put some eyeglasses on my buns
and tell everybody what they should'a done
It does not have to make any sense to anyone else
As long as it makes sense to me.
Why is that rock in your car?
Why did you do that?
Why is there gum behind your eyeglasses?
You do not have to answer either.
Shh!
Eyeglasses eyeglasses where can you be
if I don't have you I will have a hard time to see
Where oh where are you hiding from me.
Your arms are so loose they fall all the time
Hiding on me you know is a real crime. .

To See Or Not To See
General Custer had a sentry,
A man of trust whose name was Henry,
He lost his spyglasses,
Used his blurred eyeglasses,
Yelled, "Those Indians sorta friendly."
2022 June 01
I remember how
clean his eyeglasses were.
He took care of himself.
and expected people to
listen when he spoke.
.
With his black,
political, contrasty suit,
scrupulously laundered,
his face was red and
he took large steps.
.
I remember the honor
in his presence,
as if he had some
magical favors
he could grant.
I’m a bit tangled
My empty state
The scope of this job
Goes beyond like a plane
Series of works,
Bombarded schedule,
Flowing sweat,
Filled my container
Just got the thought
When I twisted my feet
Jumped over the poles
While wearing the fleet.
Suppose to wear
Eyeglasses of knowledge
Not these red shoes
I’m so unprepared.
You've got deeply lined, leathery face,
with blurred, astigmatic eyes well in place
behind what your old generation
calls lennon eyeglasses sensation;
and you still got shoulder-length, dark hair,
ah, but a slower, closer look there,
gray roots the hue of stainless steel spoon,
you do need another dye job soon!
efficient Eddie eliminated evil Edna’s eyeglasses
flustering Frannie Florence, furthering father’s frankness forever
generous Ginnie gave glasses glorious glam, gluing garbage
hallow Hal hinted heroics, having Henry’s huffy habits
ideas ignited, illuminating idiocy in Illinois, Iowa and Idaho
juicy judgement jockeyed jointly, justifying judicial jury
Snail travels to Japan in the fanciest way
We see him traveling, he’s cutesy today
He is wearing a camera around his neck.
He stops to give the emperor a genuflect.
His hat is from Australia, his eyeglasses from the wild.
He scoots around old men, he picks up a lady bug child.
We flowers surround him, admiring his ensemble of beauty.
It is our Japanese privilege, not our tradition or duty.

Our baby is ten months old
Today I heard a loud clinking sound in his mouth
Chased him around the room
Wrestled it out of there
It was a pair of eyeglasses
One lens was gone
I hope they are my readers from the dollar store
I have nineteen pairs of them lying around the house.
If they were my husband’s bifocals, I had better stay mum
Baby dug up the asphalt driveway last month
An English cream retriever, who cannot leave anything alone.
There were three reliable eye witnesses to the robbery.
I was the first detective on the scene;
did not even have time to put on my overcoat.
One said the perpetrator was young, blonde, five nine, thin.
Another said he was dark-skinned, thirty-five-ish, stocky, with green eyes.
A third said he was not sure if the perp was a woman or a man.
I gave this guy a business card to my other business.
When I am not solving crime from my easy chair, I sell eyeglasses.
Thick skin, big body and sharp teeth, they slay
These greedy animals hunt for their prey
Their goal is to get all what they want
In the darkness of the night they usually hunt
Crocodiles and snakes, they attack like storms
How big are those reptiles as compared to the worms?
Now modern predators are in tuxedo’s and suits
With shiny eyeglasses or well-polished boots
These greedy creatures scattered in this world
They always make the biggest stories ever told…
You said the man you talked with is blind
But he pointed out fingers to someone he's then unkind
You talked with a blind person
But he can give someone poison
You said he walks kind and tender
But cannot you accept as true he's a pretender
You give him eyeglasses and add him a walking stick
But worthy of someone who'd frequently kick
Someone who'd frequently kick your relative
Though positive we'd frequently make him contraceptive
He'd not be literate or limit him being un-educative
