The Things You Ask of Me
Like childhood friends
Remember me
The times were but good
A domain of innocence
Grant me peace
A haven we can each see
Join me, feast
The inquiry's of this
Untainted beast
A single forfeited lease
I beg of you
To see forth fit
Endeavored we be
But as grown men are haunted
We’ll play for keeps...

Was Not Intended
Was Not Intended

Was not intended
When my endeavored ended
Rules were amended
Into air blended
Casket cemented
She had consented
Car door was dented
My eyes had glinted
Answer was hinted
Not oriented
I had relented
Vessels were stinted
Ended up suspended
Room was well-vented.

You get to pick out last one you
want for last line. Jim Horn...

My Mother endeavored, to teach me to drive; with transmissions, both standard and automatic. Until it was mastered, she seemed as tense as steel; on the car floor her feet were firmly planted. Her eyes were so large, as she issued instructions; her nerves were on edge, I’ve no doubt. And when it was done, I’d had so much fun; but Mom couldn’t wait to get out!

The Rusty Years Written: by Tom Wright March 2015 I sit submerged in my thoughts, Once again, lost in my yesterdays; Focused on the man I was, rather than the man I am. The problem isn’t the changing of those around me, But that I have endeavored to remain the same. And time is in lockstep with me as I age each day. Time is the combatant of all good things.

On Judgment Day Written: by Miracle Man 1-23-2019 Judgment scales won't weigh, Our hearts good intent. That's why it's imperative, That each soul repent. For relying on good works, That we've endeavored to give. Will be as filthy rags, * Unless for Jesus we live. Though we've done good works, So that others might see. Where our tree falleth, ** It's there it shall be. *Isaiah 64:6 **Ecclesiastes 11:3

Goodbye Gleason
(Dedicated to Jackie Gleason who died June 24, 1987.)

I liked watching you in Honeymooners reruns.
I also enjoyed watching you in Smoky and the bandit with your stupid son.
Millions of people loved to see you act.
You were one hell of a guy and that's a fact.
In 1987 people learned that you were dying and it made us sad.
When you died, it made us mad.
You succeeded at the things you endeavored.
Because of reruns, you'll be remembered forever....

Leader
A leader's demise,
shook the hearts of millions.
Who made others realize,
power is seldom from victorious elections,
but in building a righteous nation!!.
With knowledge as vast as Kaveri,
eloquence of his Tamil speech delivery,
his absence making citizens question,
the plight of the nation,
who is to replace his position ?
The struggles he had endeavored,
millions of lives he inspired.
A Tamil patriot...
A True Dravidian...
Most of all, a humble human!!...

Memories scuffle to be remembered I wish this journey did not have to be endeavored The pictures against the wall Each with its own story to scrawl I can still hear the laughter Something we never use to chase after It all came so naturally This place embraces everything that means family If we close the door today Our hearts might feel a wee bit grey Calling it home was a treasure Blessed was I beyond measure
