Fate?

Was it written in the stars?
Was it truly meant to be?
I can send a wish to mars
And it’ll come back to me

If there truly is a string of fate
Then perhaps mine was severed
What seems perfect arrives late
Like it was never endeavored

If our names are truly in ink
And our souls bound together
Would I even have to think
If I want the the tether

Written in the stars
Or is it parallel destinies
Passing by like fast cars
A clash of unease
