An Uncommon Cold

I praise the everlasting fount,
so glorious in its amount.
Who would have ever thought, I sighed,
I had such copious snot inside.

A tissue box? I took the suggestion
and endeavored to clear my congestion.
At first, I was relieved and elated
till I found I was entirely deflated.

Haha, I remember Spiro. Hmm, you don't seem old enough? You must be a student of history.

I know that deflated feeling that comes with a cold...had one last week during Christmas....hard to be jolly and bright when in discomfort :-)
