Have traveled the world over
Without spending a dollar and moreover
From my comfortable lair
And my big easy chair
Marvelling at the sights with my laptop's enabler
The doer within—
Silent enabler, unseen
Works behind the scene;
Now look at ego,
Pretender and a big show,
Why can’t it lie low?

the jailor and the prisioner
the addicted and the addict
the enabler and the addict
daughter chooses a crackhead husband
who forbids her to see her family
he beats her
and she stays
because
when he's sober he's great.
I've seen him
He's satan.

Striving for freedom
Who is the doer
Or in cessation
Who the enabler
Let go, oh hermit!
Make it simple
This gift of life
Detached and free
Live it fully
The fault line
Is clinging
Breathe easy
Embrace
Release

I abhor…
bigotry,
dishonesty,
hate and
disloyalty,
bias
and jealousy,
misogyny
and tyranny
But more than anything
I hate weakness in all its forms,
cowardice being the most destructive,
which allows all of the things I abhor…
to exist

I like money
it's the enabler alligator
the alligator bites
anyone who doesn't feed it
I trust money
it says "In God We Trust"
getting a camel through the eye
of needle must be easy
I am money and I talk
I am time and the river
the sun and the moon and the stars
do you have time to talk to me?
Am I so quiet that I'm lost?,
Am I so brave that I'm a hero?,
Am I so bad that I'm the scapegoat?,
Or am I so funny that I'm the mascot?,
Do I try so hard that I'm the enabler?,
Or have I lost all control to be the dependent?,
Sometimes I feel like I'm all of these put into one,
and sometimes I feel like I'm none.

Shh... you take your abuse and keep quiet.
You're convinced nobody wants to hear about it,
that nobody will believe you or take your side ~
You're an enabler that keeps the cycle going
and you're delusional if you think things will get better.
What will it take to give you the strength to break free?

Pennants' edges curling up, peeling away from fading walls--
Lions listless, languid, lost ~ Tigers timid, tame, tepid--
Floorboards waxed like glass, nothing strewn, no disarray, no chunks
of petrified food accusing.
The Choreographer of clutter
The Enabler of entropy
The Maestro of mountainous messes
The Fife and Drumbeat of detritus
has moved on
I kept quiet far too long.
I couldn't open my mouth,
it seemed, not even for a peep.
The perfect doormat.
Welcome to one and all.
Come wipe your feet.
Tolerance is that ugly sin
a coward learns to live with
while incessant cycles repeat.
Nothing changes when nothing's said,
silence being the prime enabler.
And like a weed, shame grows
in the shadow of acceptance.

Begrudging Enabler
Why do you do this to yourself?
Maybe a better question is
why do I allow you to do this
to yourself?
I have been your enabler.
If you ask me to go get your
poison I will begrudgingly
oblige, helping you to kill
yourself.
After I give you the goods
I will walk away feeling like
crap about it, dreaming
of the day that I have the
courage to tell you no
Titillating sounds of promises,
Acculates of stargazed nuances.
Glorify premises of occurrences
I who are the enabler
Seek to be eternally stabler
Embracing the assurance
Love is ever reoccurring
Bombardment of chaotic
Deploring adverse calamities
Covenant endurance blessings
Titillating sounds of promises
Over and over, over, over, over and...
over and over

Written words by James Edward Lee Sr 2026
Pieces of day falling like
severed limbs of time.
Acoustic shadows
drinking the pain.
Exodus has started
of thoughts to find an
enabler, for misting voices
of indecisiveness.
Obscene contour abrupts
the ink. Now there is blank
depression, behind the globes.
Cubes have become toeless.
The night has locked itself in,
when suddenly grief becomes the sun.
The celestial makeup was melting.
We are becoming naked, like pupils.
Satish Verma
How long do you think
you can ride the coattails
of blissful ignorance?
Isn't it flagrantly obvious that
you are skating on thin ice...
and equally evident that
you're living on borrowed time?
How long do you think
you can get away with avoiding
the elephant in the room?
Have I been the unjaded enabler
whilst my silence should have screamed
to you louder than any multitude of decibels?

Christmas is over for another full year
And I am ready to shift into high gear
Hoping 2022 will bring lots of good cheer
What’s that? Did I hear a sarcastic jeer?
Hoping an end to this Covid is near …,
And we will no longer be living in fear.
I am rather optimistic about the future,
Thinking it will have a redeeming feature
Be an enabler for the good of our culture,
Show the better side of our human nature.
