Optimistic About the Future

Christmas is over for another full year And I am ready to shift into high gear Hoping 2022 will bring lots of good cheer What’s that? Did I hear a sarcastic jeer? Hoping an end to this Covid is near …, And we will no longer be living in fear. I am rather optimistic about the future, Thinking it will have a redeeming feature Be an enabler for the good of our culture, Show the better side of our human nature.

These last two lines are wonderful "Be an enabler for the good of our culture, Show the better side of our human nature."

A wonderful, guiding show of your pen! I have too many grandchildren and other lovely known youth to lose my optimism and efforts now. God bless us all…and keep inspiring your pen! Xoxo sally

I pray that there will be an end to Covid, but I don't see it in the future. my grandbaby and I first got it before anyone knew it was here and " I " was totally sick for almost a month. Both of us were misdiagnosed 3 different times my grandbaby twice. Then in Dec. I got sick with acute Pancreatitis and was diagnosed with asthmatic covid. I was mad because I didn't have the symptoms. Not only was I quarantine in the hospital, but returned home for another 28 more days I tested positive again twice

Good. So glad to hear that! I got 2 Moderna and 1 Booster Moderna. Then, I got my regular flu shot.

Oh, Eve, I am so sorry you had to go through that horrifying experience. I think, for much of the time period, many doctors were struggling with what little information they had and doing their best, but, as we know, many came up short (as in your case). I lost a good friend (I am sure to Covid) long before it was acknowledged as being here in the U.S. His symptoms were exactly like those later described as Covid. He seemed to have a very bad flu, but was dead within a week or two. I still don't think we know it all, but I'm convinced the vaccines are making a positive difference.
