Nothing's the Same Now

Pennants' edges curling up, peeling away from fading walls--
Lions listless, languid, lost ~ Tigers timid, tame, tepid--
Floorboards waxed like glass, nothing strewn, no disarray, no chunks
  of petrified food accusing.

The Choreographer of clutter
The Enabler of entropy
The Maestro of mountainous messes
The Fife and Drumbeat of detritus
  has moved on

Cleanliness prevailed, eh. Cool poem, Gershon. I loved the alliteration ... I love words, so when a gifted pen strings them bad boys together staccato style, well, I just love it. Stellar write. Love and smiles always.

Wow! Gershon, excellent alliteration adorns your poetic lines of a, dare I say, an 'Oscar Madison' type personality... I know you live in Chicago now, but did you once live in Detroit? While I liked the Odd Couple, I was more of a "Quincy" Man...And then of course, the Klugster was pretty good in "Twelve Angry Men" too... Sigh! Where have all the 'flowers' gone?...

Lol! I love Oscar Madison from the TV sitcom 'The Odd Couple'. Jack Klugman played the part of the lovable sloppy sportswriter. As a kid, I used to watch it every Friday night. In the early to mid 1970's it was must-see TV for me :))

You certainly have given me an education here; I didn't realize who Oscar Madison was...Now that I know, I don't know whether to laugh, belly-laugh, or just die laughing. Susan, you've outdone yourself with this one, I daresay. Thanks for making my evening memorable and hilarious!...As for Detroit: I've never even gotten as far as the 'De," I'm afraid. C'est la vie.
