Dyslexicons
Dyslexia is our superpower;
And from know-it-alls we never cower.
They torture one's head with tortuous talks;
Dyslexics instead think outside the box....

Verbal Conflict
Poetic dyslexia
the words juxtapose
The meaning in crisis
where God only knows
Poetic dyslexia
all feelings collide
Emotions in conflict

This led me to
I was questioned by my former in-laws
When you were taking care of the baby
placing the bathtub over the bathtub
Did you have modesty in your gaze?
I swear by God
I tried with my passport
This led me to autism and dyslexia
Soon to be PTSD too!

The Fallout from Dyslexia and Nuclear War
for my entire life
I've always been on the brink
of annihilation
under a wooden desk
covering porcelain neck
the unforgiving sirens
a nuclear child
petrified of being exposed
to the fallout
seven years of age
stressed out by the alphabet
thoroughly dyslexic

Why
would
people
criticise
a child’s best efforts
because he does not measure up
to their own abilities and twisted reasoning?
Learning disorders are not to be looked down on; instead, motivation is the key.

The last gun around the bullet
Where my mind on my sleeve
I have s.p.e.(I know you will get it eventually)
and probably dyslexia
Playing golf with a wolf called Rolf
as you do
Where were meant wear
one plus one
The rain the bough
Brought the drought
Jamaican hair
I so dread
If there was no nothing how would we now...

Dyslexic
Some of my poems you might have read
My spelling has been bad
Its because I am dyslexic
I've been like that since a lad.
At school I wasn't, clever
But I always tried my best
When it came to written work
It was something I detest.
Dyslexia now you know I have
It,s been with me all my life
Now if I want to spell a word
I just ask my wife....

Dyslexia
My eyes does not itch,
But my brain does itch.
Eagle's eyes, curious teeth but timid brain,
Intuity did a lot of spelling rain. -
But i can't understand.
Comprehension had had me strand.
Willing eyes,indifferent cerebral,
Hopeful skull but brain's sick crawl.
Persaude my brain to agree with my eyes,
Wants to be free from this hell; Dyslexia.

My Family Is Mucked Up
My family is all mucked up she tells her date.
We have multiple diagnoses.
My dad is mentally deranged, a psychopath.
He has probably killed people.
My mom is a freak, she has early onset Alzheimer’s and depression.
My brother is a sociopath, and antisocial.
I am bipolar with dyslexia.
I thought you would want to know before our third date.
We could still date, but you need to know that I am gay,
Her fast-thinking suiter fibbed....

No Simple Life
Life is simple but not for me
It's just not easy doing ABC
People think that I'm lazy
I just thought I was going crazy
It's hard to do my work I find
Because It's always on my mind
Reading, writing and arithmetic
Do I reeally have to do it?
Not being able to read write or spell
Living in this bubble of hell
I try to escape from thoughts and strife
No one knows my secret life
Or the struggle that I face each day
Dyslexia is real and it won't go away..

Miss Kneeland My Hero
I learned to read
thanks to Miss Kneeland
The principal at my gradeschool
Who had taught my daddy and his brother
Using a mirror
She was an old maid
About two hundred years old
With white hair in a bun
She looked severe
But she was kind
And she taught me to read
using a miror
Understanding what I needed
in 1958
She was a pioneer
who understood dyslexia
even though there was no name for it
back in the day.
I thank her for the gift of reading every day....

Dyslexia
Even thought my poems is better then the average poet I would said people would not understand
How hard it was in school an especially in college where average person would write once or twice
I would write three time and write a average of 200 papers but the requirement is 100 for associate of art and counting my credit it did not transfer it would be equivalent to a bachelor but lately I been looking at
Certification equal to bachelor degree I guess the glass cell is not broken....
