The Platypus
If I only saw the beak, would I believe it too be a duck,
If I only saw the tail, would I believe it too be a beaver,
If I only felt it's claws, would I only belive it too be a predator...

The Platypus is an enigma of nature, since
distinguishing the heads or tail of anything...can be difficult...

I am drinking you
With my eyes open wide
And my lips moist
My nose catching scent

I am eating you
Savouring every little detail
My tongue distinguishing
Sweet, sour, salt

I am seeing you
With veiled eyes
Shedding tears of salt
And sweetness

I am hearing you
And all the words
Not said but guessed
In all the small cries...

Power In Words
Words make friendships,
Create bonds and sink ships.
They are powerful,
Enough to empy or to full.

They are daggers of hate,
Or hear-felt poems during a date.
A weapon with such a might,
With ability to hurt or delight.

Spoken razor sharp swords,
Distinguishing peasants from lords.
A power lying within the toungue,
Making a frail man strong....

The Picnic
a quiet bell tolls from someplace far enough to make it so

carried

by the same delicate current of air
that wafts a perfect mixture
of her sun-warmed perfume
with the runaway scent of a distant thunder cloud

across
a
yearning
yellow
blanket

to an overwhelmed smile
that trembles at the effort
of distinguishing
which is more consuming...

Soap Box Politics and the Common Man.
This morning I listened

To the simpleton and the sapient man preach

Yet as they orated to

All we who came to listen and imbibe

I was lost

There was no distinguishing

One voice from the other.

Later as I pondered

All that which was spoken

Spewed aimlessly upon us

I knew that I could not agree

With that which was said

By the simpleton....

A Hesitant Dawn
An unusual brand of happiness,
The release of lettting go.
A rush of realization,
Maybe finally you know.
A glimpse of something better,
Came shining through his eyes.
Accepting this fresh exhilaration,
Whilest praying against lies.
Distinguishing between sincerity
and that familiar self-destruction
Gets harder with every heart-break
and each eventual obstruction....

Hopeless In Love
Hopeless in love
Is like writing vertical poems
They just fall down
Hopeless in love
Hopeless in poetry
Hopeless to take oneself
To the old east
And get some spicy words
Hopeless in love
Like going through
The desert
And not distinguishing yourself among the dunes
I do not blame
Who is in love
Who is hopeless
I blame who
Defends his love battle field
With an armory of geometrical poetry....

Tender Night
Beyond the walls of silence
I conquer all fear
Distinguishing the difference
I long to draw him near

The moon that hangs above
Sends out its mellow glow
The stars are merely guides
For the path that lay below

He takes me in his arms
Our hearts are on fire
Sealing our fate with a kiss
Fulfilling every desire

Soft blowing breezes
Like whispers in the wind
Wings of a dove flutter
And this love never ends...

thoughts relate to
mind-body vessel
it is then quite natural
for thoughts to arise
so we look at them
instantly discerning
and so distinguishing
between the impulses
pertaining to our soul
versus ego cravings

as flow of life renews
constant mindfulness
holds steady awareness
that whatever may be
presence is always free
whether we indulge awhile
or whether we negate
illusions in mind manifest

Personal Truth
separating feelings from truth,
distinguishing right from wrong,
some do find in a short days time, while others may take very long,
he has a way of showing,
each one there own personal truth,
the battles of each individual differs from what they each go through.
the weakness of one is not held by another, each life pains different battles they face,
but the lord always ends up meeting each one all in his own special place....

I Sense Tomorrow Is the Future
Its a sweet sourly taste
That leaves the emphasis wrapped in a blessing
Showers happiness accomplished through sadness
Its a survival through intelligence
A past formulating the current
Presently mediating the next century
Seeing scarce resources being utilised
Distinguishing of things
Its the pain becoming known
Revelation of the shadow

Stunning brunette, walking perpendicular,
She has perfect skin displayed upon her figure;
Distinguishing features, displayed upon her frame,
Looking absolutely gorgeous, her ultimate aim;
Unbelieveably attractive, she is not like any other,
Her likeness can not be equaled, not by another;
No trouble at all is looking pretty fo her,
All about her is tremendous allure;
Such a cute face inhibiting this lovely creature,
These unblemished traits make for some lovely features.

behind the camera
scenes comes to life
click of the shutter
opens to capture the light

eye distinguishing
yielding lights and shadows
in black and white
a stolen flawless piece of time,
a study in still life
kept captive, alive for all time

entangled in the mine
relieving memories of the past
photos unblemished echo

captivating the present
softly appealingly
art works of inspiration
place In a frame on the wall or in an album

Leaving two holes for your eyes only
