Gone

The silence is deafening!
The eloquence of the quietness is not discernible,
Is it a riddle? Nay!
Is it a dream? Nay! Alas!
It is true, true, true like a candle in the wind.
The light went out, you've gone with the wind.

While I Wait

The water flows
Without discernible movement
The sun shines
But no shadow detected
The wind blows
Without a puff of air
Plants grow
Void of fruit
Seats sit
Without a place to rest
....while I wait

Refraction

Though Time has dwindled me to motes,
My dust remains in sunset’s light—
A pattern faintly forms and floats
Discernible before your sight.

Indefinite and vague, yet there,
A wisp of what I was persists
Split-second long upon bright air—
Then vanishes in violet mist.

Thin

Out there
In the thin
Air

Green and red
On a carnival wheel
That spins you
Round.

Passing in and out of terror
It ceases to be discernible
From ecstasy

You arrive in the moment
In a mist
of un-forgetting

Finally
You are still here
Attention being called
Elsewhere

An overhang might be a mystical spot, where shattered hearts can be recuperated, Hidden trusts are given fresh life, The shouts of torment are discernible, The sky is seen through a brought-down look, The eyes clear away their auld tears, furthermore, spirits are covered in obscurity, welcome the beams of trust.

Premium Member Serenade of Whispering Wings

Listen to poem:
Lakeside at dawn,
all is calm, quiet, but expectant.
Then, peeping from the silence,
barely discernible
is the sound of whispering wings
stuttering a plaintive beat, intermittent.
It is the flock of fairy terns soaring together
in wavy, gliding flight formation,
just above the sand, just above the waves
returning to their lakeside roost,
to gossip, cheep, squabble and rest.

Sand Miracle Man 3/18/2024 Sand appears to hotfoot through an hourglass, unrelentingly depleting our precious time. Without discernible deviation and no impasse, plays no favorites betwixt aged and prime. Life is not a “brief candle.” it is a splendid torch that I want to make burn d torch as brightly as possible before handing it on to future generations. “Bernard Shaw”

Poetically Inclined Delusions

She's the closer in her
   own intangible talent,
came upon an absurd
   assumption she
might be a poet, merely
 discernible as conveyed
  ill-drifting imagination
betwixt dispersed antagonism
    and magniloquent coercion,
her mediocre existence aced cliché
 vanquished 'neath forewarning
   zephyrs amidst wildflowers on fire
     & half-forgotten frothy seascapes,
   furthermost poetically fated delusions

Heart of My Dreams

Here in the heart of dreams
I’m cocooned in your embrace
And the moon’s romantic beams
Are discernible on your face
As I relish and enjoy
Each memorable minute
Where nothing can destroy
Our love that’s so infinite.
No one can interfere while
We’re as close as a heartbeat;
Chasing darkness away with a smile,
Loves’ sunshine does it defeat!
As long as I’m nestled here with you
It’s like all my dreams have come true

in dismay
disheartened
disillusioned
why am i invisible

unheard
hardly discernible
out of my element
i don’t belong

still i will continue
to sing a song
stranded
on my desert island

sending adrift
my message in a bottle

The Sentence

It bled, bled and bled
Profusely.
But no wound was visible.

It cried, cried and cried
Badly.
But no shriek was audible.

It rolled, tossed and crumpled
Hopelessly.
But no movement was discernible.

It felt throttled and choked
But kept quiet.
It moved yet.

The pangs were wrapped
In the cloak of composure
Because it knew
It would live now
With scars,
An ordeal,
Invisible
Inaudible
Indiscernible.

The Unconquerable
Had pronounced
The sentence.

Conceal this

Conceal this

trespassing against me well that’s on you.
getting caught up makes me a fool.
leave it alone because what’s the use.
when another will come to.
getting mad cause we don’t stick like glue.
the issue i’m trying to pursue.
it’s nothing personal
just a phase and i need to be discernible.
i’m certain that i get what i give returnable.
So it should be no hard feelings.
i just need to conceal this.
i’m able and willing.
