Premium Member Co-Dependency

What you do does me.
What you say says me.
What you smell smells me and
what you taste tastes me
until there's no me left
to feel.

Co Depends

An act so practiced
like an invisible mask
If I see past
things will smash
our past wounds like food
for inadiquecies that keep us
intact
or rather keep me
coming back.

Premium Member Big Pharma Dependency

mind numbing pain free
without meds where would we be
                    old school misery
               whiskey for an amputee
                 biting sticks in agony

Premium Member If All I Did Was Make You Feel

I would be such a bore
that academia would write
a thousand plus a score
of run-on sentences trite
'bout all the things that might
have caused my co-dependency
on lies been told 'tween me and thee.
Form: Rhyme

Dependency

Can't appease the disease
Addiction comes like a breeze
Toxic like antifreeze
Unrelentless like fleas
On your knees trying to appease
Doesn't matter if you say please
You'll eventually have to pay
The overdue fees
sad
Form: Rhyme

Baby

You've driven me quite mad
Love that I've had
For many years over
I still feel the fears of an
Unquelled baby
Longing for its mother
With similar dependency,
I cry for you in the dark

I've still not learned to soothe myself to sleep

Heartbeat Dependency

You imagine them whispering in your ears
Through the screen of your computer
You forced me to listen to your heart
Quick and irregular
I'm afraid to uncover my ears
To hear the beating of your heart
I hope it never stops
Otherwise mine starts

Upstream

My river of existence flows upward
As I struggle with the narrowing width
While the depth of my water shallows
To that level which cannot sustain joy
The uphill battle to flow consistently
Becomes my daily task, my climactic war
Of a dependency on bettering my life

Premium Member Olympian Dependency

Olympic moments now here, then gone
under a spotlight intense as the sun

Years of sweat, dedication and training
        geared toward a finish culminating

In a medal or two, or three if you’re great
~ all dependent on timing, focus and fate

These Are My Years

So, these are my piety years,
A Christian gal lives here,
Jesus is a sweet name, my dears,
He is still in his blessing years,
Time to stop stressing with fears,
No need for crocodile tears,
In our co-dependency years,
Faith sets us all free, you see,
True liberation for you and me......

Deep

The intricate twisting of knots,
Restricting the ability to move and breathe–
Freely.
Surrounding us daily–
Tying us into dependency,
When we don’t need it–
Or do we?
Is that why we can’t move?
Will the ropes release us if we accept the truth?

We are only what we are…
The knots begin to loosen.

Premium Member Cinnamon Lover

Elevated feelings of ecstasie
Fuelled by passion
Long lonely looks
Cocktails in dim
Smokey bar room
Short leather skirts
 Hormones mixed with
Sweet perfume

 You never tell me
What you want
Nor who you
Really are

Other than your
Brown sugar and ice
Dependency
I only know you as
A Cinnamon Lover.

Dependency

Night yet nibbles at the light.
Hare and fox are seeking each other,
they know
how to be electric, sensitized
to their dependency,
their needs.
A man in a motel
awakes, stares at the ceiling,
reaches for his wife
hands exploring dead space.
He is no longer sensitized,
nor electrically linked to her
just the loss - just the need.

Good Daylight Has Filters

I don't need the sun everyday I need grey, I prefer rain, mist fresh winds. The sun is a harsh benefactor, it coerces only to rule; demands to be admired before it crowns itself emperor of our every dependency. Yet, when it is shielded by the soft drapes of a less brazen light we ungratefully call that - bad weather.

Nexus of One

Continuously phantasmagoric is its vitality,
Crystallizing within the depths of my spirituality,
Sanctuary against the maleficent reality,
Encompassing past the fortification of mentality,
Dependency upon its draught of lethality,
Praying for the verisimilitude of immortality,
Enlightened after necrosis, for entwinement in universality

Reverie

What is light if you cannot see, your tactile touch, your dependency, to feel beauty, your lovers face, your first born, its warm embrace, nature, its smell, its breath, its enigmatic sounds, those of death, some known, some teasing mysteries, what is it like to live in perpetual darkness, can one find solitude in reveries?
Form: Verse

Premium Member Technological Dependency

Now social networks
Before tea-room social chat –
IT changes us

Single views are flawed
Life is grey not black and white-
Harmony spawns hope

Computer jargon
Academic rhetoric –
Actions not words count

Dane

Dane
Dreamy, depleted, decrepit, determined
Daughter of a Heavenly Father
Lover of: driven desire, delightful dancing, and delicious dishes.
Who feels: dedicated, diverse, and distinct.
Who fears: depression, desolation, and dependency
Who would like to see: domestic delight, dedication, and dependability.

Pompeii

We moved inexorably
towards idiocracy
we slipped without grip
towards dependency
We prayed filled with nothing
but false ecstasy
we crept towards our death
instinctively
We lived as slaves
fully and intentionally

We are Pompeii, Herculaneum
the ones who filled
the stadium
Called for pitiless blood
to warmly run
worshiped bearded men
and starry sun
causation, ruination
living and dead

Premium Member Strength

Strength was engrained
At an early age

Shedding tears; WEAKNESS
Displaying emotions; INSTABILITY
Seeking comfort; DEPENDENCY

She is a mess!
This she is ME

Stone faced
Dead eyes
Hollow inside
Fake laughter

Crying; UNFAMILIAR
Suffering silently; FACT
Showing vulnerability; FOREIGN

How does she change
What’s been engrained?
Redefining what was once established as
              STRENGTH

Addiction

I have an addiction
Refused it at first
Rage exceeded
Wanted, needed, anxious
I have an addiction
Broken before
Yet again
Irresistible, uncontrollable, required
I have an addiction
Habit now
Obsessing everyday, dependency
Compulsion turns to lust
Desires weaken me
Appetite becomes insanity
Absorbing into my body
Intense, extreme, comfortable
Finally, realizing it is true
I have an addiction
I am addicted to…

Despair

have you had a chance to meet Lady Despair?
have you seen her grin at you
as she devours all your dreams and hopes?
has she opened wide her arms to embrace
your warmth leaving you forlorn?
has she beckoned seductively as she
stands on the path to despondency?
has she flirted with you
assuring you of her dependency?
have you fallen in love with Lady Despair;
trusting her, meeting her, loving her
as she greedily ensnares your soul?

Premium Member What Will You Do

You make the day according to your wish
According to your will for us
We may go through tough times, desperate times
But in those moments You are with us
Guiding us through
We will not fear
That is what You declared
What you said you will do
What You promised You will fulfill
What promises
Thank You God
Whatever won’t You do?
For us
Our dependency on You
That is what You want
That is what You determined
What will You do?

State of Mind

Happiness

it's a state

of mind...

regardless of

dependency

materialistic...

The word

happiness

It's simple

modest,

lean, no

need a lot...

It just takes practice.

we have happiness

if we desire it

sincerely...

just so

simply

declare yourself in happiness

with what you have,

believe it and be further
naturally

 joyful..each

day we will be plus

 In the mood... believe me...!
