Despair

have you had a chance to meet Lady Despair?
have you seen her grin at you
as she devours all your dreams and hopes?
has she opened wide her arms to embrace
your warmth leaving you forlorn?
has she beckoned seductively as she 
stands on the path to despondency?
has she flirted with you
assuring you of her dependency?
have you fallen in love with Lady Despair;
trusting her, meeting her, loving her
as she greedily ensnares your soul?
