If Ego and Vanity are the assailants on our life morals, then what is the all defeating weapon? Soul, for it, is neutral on all battlefields.

we been up stuff

hand cuff
beating
not defeating
now we're back on track
new road to our gols
we have found
there's
NO STOPPING US NOW
Through all of the years
Through all of the tears.
Defeating all fears
Til life from me veers
Belonging to only you my dear.
So drink with me. Cheers.
The emptiness can be suffocating.
The happiness can be depressing.
The victory can be defeating.
The longing can be fulfilling.
You ask me if life is ironic?
Is it ever.
Popeye the Sailor Man
eats lots of spinach straight from the can.
Then he's strong to the finish, defeating bad guys.
He's a hero in smitten girlfriend Olive Oyl's eyes.
My mind has been broken
My heart has been torn
I have been used
But now am reborn
I have moved on
Leaving the past in the past
Defeating those ghosts
I have peace at last
Laughter
Seems to
Challenge the
Unquestioned
Clutch of
Separation..
Spontaneity
Defeating the
Desperate grasp
Of time..
It's comic and
Cosmic...????
Trump and Rod
Trump and many others have trod
While they were in search of a rod
So with competitors could be beating
Instead of it being self-defeating
Prefers women who clothes off shod.

Ground fenced becomes a fall garden
deterring squirrels' and rabbits' play.
Guard the soil that winter will harden
defeating Indiana clay.
Gilded tulips (unsightly bulbs' pardon)
deserve a diadem come May.

You tried to take me out but I overcame you
I'm still defeating you and I will win
Because I am God's child
God will not let me lose
I believe in the power of victory
I can't be stopped and I won't be stopped
Thank You Lord.

Only in the night a dark flower in bloom
A rare occasion only on a blue moon
Finding that it's just begun
A low creature found beneath the sun
For siblings I can't forgive
Through old injuries I live
Demons I think I'm defeating
Sometimes a goodbye is a new greeting
We who wore the blue
Who calmly stood hardy too
Answering the call when needed
Defeating evil when exceeded
We lucky few of sisters and brothers
Who leant a shoulder for each other
A band of friends each being true
As others wish they’d been with us too.

I listen for a sound
And I hear tear drops of clouds
As they water dry grounds
I see sproutings of green grow
Like the river run it flows
And as the golden sun it glows
From the soil of tears
A planting appears
Defeating the fears to make all hear
Pain is not vain, it's beauty is gain.
Touched by you, I am
Eclipsed:
Wanton, we gather superficially at the
Center of warm flesh,
Decoding one another's fractured forms.
I feel, for all purposes, in a
Self-defeating sense, Desire
Of tidal proportions, an Oceanic
Onrush, only to be drowned in.

The feast was colossal; I’m not really grumbling.
I’m just feeling docile, except for the rumbling.
To put it it discreetly (I could be succincter):
I fear it’s completely defeating my sphincter.

Bringing out the best within
and defeating discouragement
when something is difficult
It is in making mistakes
yet returning to practice over
again and again
with sheer grit and determination
that we become more perfect
This does not mean
we are not without fault
but prepared for a journey
towards getting it right

Good defeating evil -
Rather small sacrifice,
For love and peace to reign
Above unruly vice.
Our collective worth,
Thriving, the more we give,
Making our planet earth
A better place to live.
While happiness we chase,
Let goodwill take a lead.
To feel life’s warm embrace
Love and peace - all we need!

An Awaken Dream
A dream has come to life
With defiance
to the compelling world
Strutting into plain and places
stalking courage and resolve
Befriending friends and foes
Defeating fiends then men
Huffing while toppling the night
romancing faith
just to oust fate
aligning the sun
to set tomorrow
and always
