A woman with a vision is hard to deceive.
A woman with a goal is hard to distract.
A woman with a dream is hard to please.
Form:
You know, I would not deceive,
that my love for you is true,
and that I would never leave.
You squirted me with superglue.
Decisions make us what we are,
Be sure to make them wise...
For we cannot deceive ourselves,
Through promises or lies...
A public coward
who fears to talk
but wraps words
with a forest
of beautiful noise
to deceive audience
that he/she is terrific
Deceiver, you smile
With subtle grace you hinge me
Rivers flow from you
Standing on the edge of time
No more will I believe you.

Oh, what a lovely web we dost weave
When first we practice to deceive.
What, on our next try, we conceive
Is too much B.S. to believe.
So leave me
Deceive me
Relieve me of this confusion
Lie about why
Create more illusion
Because with you and me
There is no clarity.
He will grieve
if we leave :(
We will not leave
if we believe! :-)
If we believe :)
we can receive
What we receive
He can't deceive
Nature favors thy silence
In this blindfold form
A tangled task with blood ties
What honor mocks here, thus we
Mute moths to deceive dragons
My eyes do not deceive me
Why doesn’t she grieve me
My heart does not beat
For any of her deceit
Her plastic life thieves me
Russell Sivey
When the Lord says jump
Don't ask why
Just ask how high
When the Lord says believe
Don't think he will deceive
Just act in faith and you'll receive
The spider, a wicked web, does weave,
But he doesn’t do this to deceive.
He just wants a pleasant place to walk
After putting on ev’ry shoe and sock.
Never ignore,
never forget,
never deceive.
never regret.
Be true to yourself
and those around you,
Embrace your own life
and Love will find you.
Form:
The rich want, more money and power
so they deceive and lie, to have their way
The poor want, more food and health
so they burgle and rob, to have their way
Have had it on good authority
That the long arm of the law is 8 ft 3
Hard to believe
But cops don't deceive
Will take a pic to show how it could be
since we were fast asleep when by God kissed
we oft pause to ask others what we missed
the answers we receive only deceive
we look not within heart, therefore we grieve
Is-ness
Appearing as
Movement
Seems to
Separate
Here and there..
Which tells
A story which
May deceive or
Explode as
Already
Is-ness...
Today I’m grateful for butterflies and luna moths…
how they easily deceive the naked eye….
How when we see them for a moment we believe…
there are flowers that can fly.
Politicans must make us believe
all the things they say they'll achieve
and this is a must
they must have our trust
which makes it easy for them to deceive.
How many sunrises will I see,
how many poems will I write
How many Spring’s to then deceive
—until Autumn surrenders to Winter’s night
(Villanova Pennsylvania: December, 2019)
The Present
an undivided instant,
motion incarnate
senses believed
The Past left captive
to memory’s enigma,
the Future escaping
—wishes deceive
(Dreamsleep: October, 2021)
emotions can deceive you
as they boil to the top
written all over my face
tucked inside your heart
love taken for better
love taken for worse
love taken for granted
love taken
Depiction of Trump
When Trump we did create a depiction,
Many said he is a walking contradiction;
Never believe;
Does deceive,
And always full of false news and fiction.
